Ryan leaking from the nose and he's down ?????? :o He stayed down
Outstanding KO 7th off body shot and ring command by Tank, credit where credit is due. Levels separated rather quickly :angryxo4:
that's a quit
How can I put this?
HELL YEAH BABY!!!!!
:pissing::nopity::boxing2::beerchug:
Wasn't able to watch, was it the liver shot I mentioned a couple days back?
For anyone defending Ryan. Name me a fighter who has died because of a body shot ?
I'll wait
If Garcia's ribs aren't broken then this has to be one of the worst quits that I've seen off the top of my head. "Oooh I'm in so much pain ref. I can't breathe. That body shot has paralysed me"
Then gets up immediately at 10. Walked fine. Get out my face !!!
I guess this was Ryan's money grab and you are not going to see him near a ring for awhile. He made millions for a huge non effort. The power of social media (lol)
Two things will get you back on your feet after a body shot : Determination and condition and Ryan has neither
The thing with Ryan is that he can take a punch physically but not mentally. Once he got a bloody nose it looked like he wanted to go home to his mom. Did anyone else think it was weird and amateurish how Garcia would turn his back away from Tank every time the fight got close as to avoid the body shot ? That reeks of fear.
Tank and Garcia are from 2 different worlds. You see and experience a lot of crap in Baltimore. What crap has Garcia been thru ?
Tank was up 59-56 on two cards and 58-56 on the other. None of the judges scored the second a 10-8....... weird

In fact as you can see one judge (Tom Taylor) scored Rnd 2 an even round after a knockdown ?
As far as Tank goes. I still think he's overrated. Just cause he beat a green, weight drained fighter doesn't mean much. Tank is still a protected fighter.
Trust me PBC won't put Tank in there with Haney, Lomachenko, Stevenson, Lopez, Taylor, Prograis. Hell I even think a Catterall or a Frank Martin would give tank a helluva fight.
Anybody who’s defensively responsible and can box a bit could take him. That does not mean to say Tank isn't a very good fighter. He 100% is but Tank is not as good as many ppl think.
I dragged myself out of bed to watch this live, i thought Tank would win and he did.
Good boxing chess match, Tanks power is some of the best in boxing.
Well as for the body (Liver) shot this video is interesting and might be used as evidence for the pro Garcia ppl

I've boxed and I know first hand that a good liver shot will have you gasping for air, you don't know what's going on, you just hear a lot of noise and see a lot of people, but you can't comprehend anything and you feel like you have a hole in your lungs, not allowing any oxygen to get in there no matter how much and how hard you're breathing. Almost like a stroke (which I admittedly haven't had but seems to describe it to a tee)
Having said that Garcia didn't have that in his eyes. He was totally alert. Looked at the ref. Nodded his head to indicate he was fine. WAITED FOR THE REFEREE TO COUNT HIM OUT. THEN GOT UP THE MILISECOND HE DID.
Garcia legitimately appeared to be in pain he wasn't exactly writhing in it. The decision to quit that he made was a conscious one and he was clearheaded when he made it. He couldn't find the hail mary left hook that he so desperately needed to stop Tank from methodically breaking him down. I think he could've beaten the count if he really wanted to. It's not like he was incapacitated he'd just had enough.
Boxing justice was served last night.
I had gotten SO frigging tired of the outsized buildup. :vd: The whopper to top it all off was seeing two ATG HOFers (Leonard and Pacquiao) being interviewed at ringside before the fight, and seeing the interviewer have the NERVE to mention the words "The Face of Boxing" with regards to the eventual winner of this fight. If I had been Leonard at that precise moment... I would've laughed out loud and then walked away.
Ryan Garcia made his fame by being a handsome young kid with a humongous Instagram and Tik Tok following. He calls himself "King" and wears that stupid crown on his head. Based on WHAT?? One good fight against Campbell and a predictable win over an undersized and pitiful Fortuna?? Give me a fukking break!
Problem is... many supposedly hardcore boxing fans bought into the hype. And here is probably the TBE of boxing (Leonard) being asked about Ryan becoming the face of boxing.
Whatever happened to fighters coming up through the ranks... earning their stripes... collecting high quality scalps on their way to the top... becoming famous when they FUKKING EARNED IT... ??
Yep... boxing justice was served last night. I don't care whether it was a liver shot... a lung shot... a stomach shot... or whatever organ hurt Ryan when it happened. The kid got his "Welcome to the Trenches" moment.
That crown isn't going to look so good anymore, is it...
You probably recall I was a huge Tank fan 6/7 years ago. I currently am at hater mode as I went with GGG once I realized what he was doing with his career. I turned on Tank when it became clear he was never going to fight Loma. So it’s been a few years I’ve been hating. But I could not stand the thought of Ryan becoming one of the biggest stars in the sport off what he hasn’t done.
Similar to if GGG fought Charlo how quickly I would forgive “we will never fight Charlo”, I would very quickly forgive Tank if he moved to Shakur or the Loma/Haney winner. I love to watch the guy fight, I just can’t stand his career path, same as GGG.
I feel like every fan of the sport should feel the same. Wanting guys to chase legacy and hopefully get wealthy. Not chasing wealth and if legacy comes so be it.
