I believe the palace you're talking about would be in Cordoba but to the actual name of it no clue.

Not Cordoba. But the actual city does have the same number of syllables, if that helps.

nah. I'm thinking most people have heard the name, but they might not associate it with a 16th century Moorish palace in Spain.

Anyways, if that's not it, then I really don't know. I'll take a guess and say Iceland.

Re: A little history/geography quiz
OK, well it's more about water I guess. Iceland is a world leader in the use of geothermal energy. They have enormous underground quantities of very hot water, and over 25% of the country's electrecity is generated from the energy this hot water puts out.

Re: A little history/geography quiz
Well haven't been in here in awhile and seems to be no question at the moment so I guess I'll post one. In what year did Germany become a unified country, and I'm not talking about reunification in 1990.

Re: A little history/geography quiz
Something like 1870? I think the Chancellor of Prussia (Bismarck) went to war with France and then mopped up the remaining German states about them?
-
Re: A little history/geography quiz
You're basically right except you're off by one year, 1871, and yes going to war with france was part of it as well as some other places...you know your geography as well as history, lol
