Hes good, but no where near perfect in style, he would be schooled by Joe, I really mean it, he is good but Joe would maintain him, and win by a very very big margin on points....
Kessler hasnt experienced anything like what Joe would bring......

This is what I mean by boxing fans being a bit too critical.Quote:

I said good fighters...I didn't say world beaters. All of those fighters that Kessler beat were not chumps & have fought & beaten many name & game opponents. People forget what a fighter does the minute that he is beaten...that my friend's is bullshat.
That is not what boxing is about. Also...bgordon...this was a question that you asked & I answered it...it was a broad answer...so don't take it like I was directing it @ you 100%. I just think that people often forget what a boxer/fighter is & does way too quickly.
Jeff Lacy is the perfect example. He's done now in most people's eyes...simply because the best fighter in the world @ 168lbs beat him one sidedly...you know what I mean?
Kessler is good...& it just aggravates me that he (like Sturm & many others) get's judged on speculation & not by educated assumptions.

See that opening right between Kessler's gloves...that's his face...generally...a fist fits there pretty well...but he takes 'em pretty good...but that being said...he does open himself fairly well.Quote:

Also...Mundine kept catching him when he'd back pedal. Kess would jab, drop his hands, Mundine fired & connected. Siaca did it too.
I like Kessler & consider myself a fan...I'd be upset if he lost...but if he fights Calzaghe...he'll be as open to Joes shots as Jeff was.
In the amateurs Kessler was famous for his defensive as he was impossible to hit and thereby impossible to beat on points (Even for all the russians and other eastern boxers who always wanted to beat the famous dane, but he became EU-champ just before he turned pro as young as at 18).Quote:

This is the face of a Tiger not a guy who has been boxing since the age of 12…..not a single scratch……

I don't think either Calzaghe or Kessler can claim there the best of 168 division without fighting each other. Hopefully it happens soon. I lean towards Kessler
In 2004 Lacy's team said that he would not be ready for Kess within the next few years. I do not think than things has changed since :(Quote:

Kessler is in a difficult situation.. .IMO he could beat Calzaghe... he has the potential, but Lacy isn't fighting and he has nobody else in the division to really increase his stock around the world to give him the recognition worthy of fighting somebody of Calzaghe's newfound fame and calibur.
-very good post, who whould actually fight KESS?Quote:

Anybody who calls Kessler world class and ready for the likes of Calzaghe is seriously dreaming. I got 100 dollars in my pocket that says he wouldn't get past Rubin Williams ;)
You kno who Kessler should fight next. Bad Chad Dawson
