I want to see what your opinion is of these fights because they were highly controversial.
Cooper 1 was a stoppage and cooper 2 proved that the first fight was nothing but a lucky punch that shouldn't of happened but because ali predicted himself stopping it in 5 he actually had to carry cooper once he realized how much of a pushover he was. Ali never took his lesser competition seriously. Look at the london and williams fights. Thats what he looks like with 100% effort. That ali makes anybody look like a joke in the ring. I know the immortal holmes never had any robbery wins but then again he was pretty much shooting fish in a barrel.
Ali should of been DQ in the Cooper fight, it doesn't matter if Ali won 2nd fight clearly. It still doesn't change the fact that Ali had smelling salts when they wern't allowed in the UK at that time.
Oh and Holmes had a few close ones with Tim Witherspoon, Carl Williams, i thought Holmes won the Witherspoon fight by 1 round because he won a lot of the middle rounds and most of the early rounds. And i had Williams ahead by 3 points at one point but Holmes clearly won all of the Championship rounds 12, 13, 14, 15. By punishing Williams to the body and he pulled that one out by 1 round. You could make a case that Holmes should only have 3 losses on his record, because i thought he beat Spinks x2 and McCall.

Oh yeah CutMeMick I did actually score one of the fights..it was the Tito vs Oscar fight. I watched it twice and first time had Oscar 115-113 and the second time 114-114 draw.
I'm in the middle of Ali vs Norton 3..I have it 3-3 so far going into the 7th..

Patterson may have been faster overall, Tyson too, but Ali had the fastest jab. He was also the most graceful heavyweight of all time by a landslide imo.

Muhammad Ali was true all time great quality. We bandy that word around too often, really, and forget how GREAT a true ATG is.
The only fighter that would have beaten Muhammad Ali is Cassius Clay.
Check him out against Cleveland Williams - definitely his best performance in a career full of them.
