What gives?
as the others say.. you may wanna listen to Manny in between rounds.. he said "if you don't knock this guy out, it's not good".
anyway, not to get into the whole floyd thing.. but considering you're comparing the two in this thread i'll just say that you really can't compare the two.. Wlad is a heavyweight who 99 times out of 100 will have the size advantage AND he's known for his power.. Floyd is a fighter who moved up several weight classes, and is normally the smaller guy.. So to say Floyd needs to KO guys and not coast to a decision is bit much considering he has KO'd MANY guys who are bigger than him and who hit much harder than him.. He PUNISHED Corrales, and besides of evading Corrales' attacks, he kept attacking him.. no running.. that's just one example, as there are plenty more.. just to set it straight..
Re: Emmanuel Steward: Hypocrite?
I was surprise when emanuel was being criticised for his comment since he no fighter, however I knew that Wladimir will be something to do with this, I've notices that people who are not fans of wladimir for whatever reason, they have now started to criticise emmanuel who is no doubt one of the greatest ever trainer if not the greatest.
Emanuel seemed to be dislike when he said Wladimir is better than lewis, this was said by emanuel in 2004, after wladimir lost to brewster and some oh, men, wladimir just lost last week against brewster and emmanuel replied ' I know the circumstances that lead to that fight'
Am not going to go into the part of what don king was accused of doing to Wladimir drink but am sure you get my point.
Emmanuel himself has said that it immpossible for anyone to train anyone to beat wladimir

Manny believes Wladimir should KO everyone he fights and honestly he's correct but Wladimir is a smart fighter and he's not going to rush into something that can backfire on him.
Floyd has multiple fights like Wlad had with Sultan....he's known for his skill but also for running away and show boating and it takes away from how many view how great Floyd is.
I've thought about this a bit recently... And honestly, how is Wlad a smart fighter? He's a damn good fighter, but cautious is more the word I would use.. It isn't smart to do the bare minimum you need to and rely on your jab endlessly to set up the right hand.. If he were really a smart fighter, wouldn't he be looking to set traps, feint, mix it up a little? I think he has a very low boxing IQ personally, he just posseses physical advantages over basically everyone he fights that ensure he will always be able to work behind the jab.
Re: Emmanuel Steward: Hypocrite?
I also challenge you to name ONE Floyd fight that was even close to as boring as Wlad-Sultan. THe baldomir fight was probably his least exciting, but he still threw a variety of punches, showed ring generalship, and committed to the straight right whenever he could. If Wlad had(or was able to) employ half of his technique against Sultan he would have had the KO EARLY.

Floyd knew he had someone in with him that had slow hands and no power at that!
Wlad is a smart fighter BECAUSE he uses his size to his advantage, he did not use to do that in fact THAT got him beat vs Sanders, he was almost in a crouch for that fight....dumb for a guy his size. He has more strategy and he doesn't vary from it, he doesn't need to as no one has proven it ineffective.
You can't argue against him being a good fighter....he may not entertain you but people said the exact same thing about Lennox Lewis

Yes, but when I think about Lennox Lewis and spend time watching footage of him, he's a WAY smarter fighter than Wlad, for all the reasons I already mentioned. If he were'nt, he'd have been no better. He's the same size, has KO power in the right and a great jab. Maybe it's not so much boxing IQ as it is general athletecism and reflexes. It's a fine line, but whatever it is that made Lennox a great fighter, Wlad doesn't have it.
