Real braces are going to cost you three or four thousand I am afraid. Teeth are def. something you should take care of though, my bottom teeth are fucked up and people don't like that.

I have pretty uneven teeth....but then of course I am English!! ;D
Now im in my late 20's and have a little spending money I wouldnt mind investing somewhat in some porcelain veneers and get all straightened out as it were. I dont think I could be doing with years of braces in the mouth..especially not at my age and having to stand in front of a lot of people every day for a living. Braces are a much less dramatic option.
Yeah the joke was when they identified bodies that were mutilated the british were the ones with tha bad teeth....
I suppose England built up its colonial prowess in a time of antiquated dentistry. The Brits got around and they had some unfortunate teeth. Here in Korea they still have the bizarre notion that the English are gentlemen. I suppose reputations come from somewhere and maybe in jest and they just seem to stick.
I like the idea of that;D I think it also comes down to the fact that we have or had the crazy idea of if it ain't broke don't fix it. If you're teeth are messed up sure they'd get fixed on the NHS but if it's a slight misalignment and not damaging it's a cosmetic (vanity) issue not dental. And really, I wouldn't want my healthy teeth filed down to pointy pegs to have some fake white ones glued on. The idea goes through me. But the increase of cosmetic dentisty in the UK has gone through the roof.
Looking like Christopher Walken in Sleepy Hollow is perhaps a good reason not to go through with the whole veneers thing. That and being too scared to eat baby ribs straight off the bone again in fear of messing up expensive new gnashers!!
I have teeth and they are my own. Not quite perfect but they do their job, I suppose!
I was born with perfect teeth and a huge hammer so I don't worry about such things...;D:cool:
I was meant to get my wisdom teeth out years ago but they said it would cost $600. I didn't but haven't had any of the hurrendous problems the dentist predicted I would!
True a lot of the doc's advise wisdom teeth to be removed, but in cases that they aren't removed I don't see many problems.
It's a painfull operation too, so it might not be worth it at all.
