Is that Lane Staley? (bless his soul)
It is indeed Layne Staley. I'm listening to Dirt as I type this, and I just finished listening to Unplugged. AIC is one of the most underrated bands.
It's strange that him and Kurt Cobain both died on Apr. 5; both addicts, both born in 1967, both very successful muscians from the same city who became popular at the same time, both fronted bands many classified as "grunge"...

Sheeesh!... I didn't even know they were both born in the same year. God I miss the early 90s grunge.
I have a couple of their albums. "Rooster" is one of my fav song. Jerry Cantrell is a musical genius too.

Unlike Lennox?.....Lennox is not a professional commentator like Max is...Max is supposed to be able to continually keep the banter going...
I used to be a big fan of Kellermans back when he started on FNF but after a while he became full of himself and a know it all.....If he would relax a bit on the ego I would be a fan again

Jerry Cantrell is awsome. He wrote most of AIC's stuff, music and lyrics. I don't know if you're a Pantera fan or not, but Phil Anselmo came out and did Would? with the surviving members of AIC and dedicated it to Layne Staley and Dimebag at a show, which I thought was pretty cool. You can find it on Youtube if you're interested.

Damn! You reminded me of Dimebag Darryl too. Yea, I'm a big Pantera fan. I caught one of Phil's beer in a plastic cup in their concert. ;D

That's awsome man! I was at one of Pantera's last shows in Vancouver (Slayer, Static X, and a couple others were also on the bill), I have seen dozens of big concerts and their's was the best I have ever seen. It was like a 2 1/2 hour brawl, but in a good way. My friend got the pick that Rex threw into the crowd after using it to play the final song (which was Walk).
RIP Dimebag Darrell Abbot.
Re: I'm starting to like Max Kellerman
max is ok. but he is a lil biased and overly excitable. he's a mini version of teddy atlast w/o the arrogance. i wish they would get rid of manny stew and lennox and bring back roy jones.
Re: I'm starting to like Max Kellerman
Max is a big dork. He genuinely appears to love boxing, but it seems like he always to trying to find ways to be right about a fighter while leaving himself an OUT at the same time.
Like,
Katsidis is the next Gatti - but we have yet to find out. Casamayor is great champion - or WAS he a great champion (big eyeball stare).
Grow some balls Max and pick and story and stay with it. But please don't harp on it like whole Katsidis is the next Gatti thing. Violent Demise is right about that.
And blink more damn it. You look like a dried eyed bobble head.

Max is a commentator, he's supposed to make the fight as intriguing as possible for us and to let us know what might happen, either Katsidis will overwhelm the old warrior or the old warrior might still have enough tricks to be able to beat him.
He's not supposed to hit us with his own personal opinion on how its going to go down and it would be annoying if he did. People would then moan and say 'why does Kellerman always insist on telling us how he thinks the outcome of a fight will be before it even starts? Someone tell him to shut the fuck up and stick to commentating on what is actually happening in the ring right now and not ruining the show by boring us with his own personal subjective opinions of who is going to win and how!'
