*Depending how JMM, Mijares, Montiel, Rafa & Izzy close out their respective careers I think either one could potentially slip into the top 10.

I just feel that his career at championship level aside from the Zamora unification bout (which a lot of people don't know it was) was a bit short compared to others with longevity. Tho his opposition is as good as it could be so there's a plus side...
This list is not a mile off i have to say , Salvador was fantastic but the fact is he did die young , which gives the edge to Finito Lopez for me , but hey both were just wonderful fighters.Quote:

I'd say the greatest Mexican is Barrera . Chavez is his closest rival but Barrera is a better technical boxer plus he has superfight wins over unefeated superstars .
