There on PPV not because they want to, but because nobody(HBO or Showtime) would pay to show the fights. Arum either had the choice of not televising them or showing them on a Top Rank produced ppv.

Of course I wish Pavlik was fighting a bigger name, but I'll take it, and I'm sure the ticket prices should be priced reasonably.
I wouldn't have gone though, if they weren't going to show the Cotto fight on their big screens there. No way would I miss my Miguel fight. :lickish:

I highly doubt the PPV price will be on the high end, because Arum doesn't have to worry about HBO or Showtime taking a cut. I think his Latin Fury cards were like $29.99 or $34.99.
I honestly don't think either of the fights are worth watching. If the PPV is more than $25, I'll just chill, go to sleep, and read the articles in the morning.

It's a dumb move by Arum. Both Pavlik and Cotto figure to be in PPV fights over the summer. You'd think he'd want them to fight their tune up fights on regular TV in order to hype up their next fights.Quote:

No, this is a Top Rank independent PPV, it has nothing to do with HBO or Showtime. The Cotto fight, and the Pavlik fight are part of the same PPV, they will just be held in 2 different locations, but are part of the same broadcast.Quote:
