Both those guys just came back from the beating of their lives, They are not worthy of a 54.95 PPV, maybe 19.95 with them on the same card.

There on PPV not because they want to, but because nobody(HBO or Showtime) would pay to show the fights. Arum either had the choice of not televising them or showing them on a Top Rank produced ppv.
Rubio was in negotiations to fight Andy Lee prior to Lee's shellacking at the hands of Vera.
He's been flirting with the idea of a Pavlik fight for some time.

Yes, I plan on going.
We don't get $hit here in Ohio, so when there is a fight nearby, you bet I'm going to take advantage of it. Youngstown is just a quick drive down the highway for me, so I'm there!
The last time we had a fight here was little over 2 1/2 years ago, and I got lucky on that being my first live fight, because that was the Brewster/Lyakhovich fight. So a great fight broke my live fight cherry.
Of course I wish Pavlik was fighting a bigger name, but I'll take it, and I'm sure the ticket prices should be priced reasonably.
I wouldn't have gone though, if they weren't going to show the Cotto fight on their big screens there. No way would I miss my Miguel fight.![]()
Have they listed a price ? I thought he was leaning towards David Lopez, think he is # 2?
Something tells me in this shite economy, which will get worse most likely before it gets better, that this is all part of HBO trimming back on shows.May just be the beginning...sadly.
A monthly boxing channel set with a pricetag is sounding better and better. As mentioned......for this one I might understand the 'old school' PPV prices of 19.95 but 50 bucks is just a slap in the face.I expect a signed T-shirt,a sit down brunch with Pav and a free car wash for that

No, they haven't had any official press conference yet, so I have no clue as to the PPV price, or the ticket prices yet. I'm assuming the details will be coming out soon.
I highly doubt the PPV price will be on the high end, because Arum doesn't have to worry about HBO or Showtime taking a cut. I think his Latin Fury cards were like $29.99 or $34.99.
I honestly don't think either of the fights are worth watching. If the PPV is more than $25, I'll just chill, go to sleep, and read the articles in the morning.
Did someone just say ''War Jennings''

Original & Best: The Sugar Man
That's f**king hilarious neither network would show them but if they both had won the last fight's this would be an easy 54.95 PPV on HBO. I mean s**t it's not like Kelly PAvlik is the middleweight champion or anything or he's making a second defense of his title's. AAH F**K him he dosen't deserve to be on HBO or Showtime. Maybe Versus could pick this one up.
Is Cotto-Jennings an HBO PPV? Last year HBO made good on their promise of fewer PPVs and I thought that was going to be an ongoing trend with them in the future. You can't just be slapping any old thing up on the wall.
