As for Cotto haters? Most people on here love Cotto like no other (not at the beginning... it's been earned fight after hard-fought fight). He is a really good fighter, but his durability is hardly that great, and he isn't the best boxer in the world (nobody's claiming he is, unlike your "DLH walks on water" crap). He's definitely good, and one of my favorite fighters, but Oscar in his prime would have stopped Cotto in 6 (That's your opinion. I personally think it would've been much closer).
Please refer to my comments above.
Have a nice day.

Your arguements have no logic to them, I like COtto more than Oscar, but Oscar would kill him. He's faster, more powerful, more of a man, way better chin.
Cotto crumpled after a just a few rounds being hit cleanly by Margarito. While Cotto was in his prime. Watch the Oscar-Mosley II fight, why do you think Oscar landed so many more punches than Mosley if he wasn't outboxing him? The Trinidad fight was a bullshit decision, and
anyone who wasn't blind saw Oscar win the first 9 rounds, even the last 3 rounds Trinidad could hardly get anything done.
Oscar wasn't owned by Sturm, Sturm won that fight, but it was competitive. Also Oscar never fought guys in their prime, what about Trinidad, Mosley, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Quartey, Past his prime or not Whitaker (Oscar was the first person to beat him).
Also how was the body shot by Hopkins grazing? At least he didn't go down without a punch landing like Cotto did the second time he went down against Margarito. You are talking about Oscar being stopped by one of the best fighters ever in Bernard Hopkins. How do you explain Cotto crumpling against a guy he was able to do whatever he wanted to in the first 6 rounds? At least Oscar wasn't rocked and nearly KO'ed by the likes of Ricardo Torres and Demarcus Corley.
If Vargas was ruined after the Trinidad fight, he wouldn't have fought so well against Oscar or Rivera. Let's remember he was coming back from the three knockdowns pretty well in the fourth round before Trinidad resorted to low blows, just like Cotto.
Further more you say Mayweather and Pacquiao are undersized, yet they would both beat Cotto, Pacquiao would stop him faster than he stopped Oscar.
Oscar was among the very best in the sport, so was Cotto, but Oscar is clearly the better fighter out of the two.
