I rewatched Pac: Barrera 2 last night and was reminded of just how boring and tactical the fight actually was. You think of those two fighters as being so exciting to watch and the expectation for that fight was big for me, being a Barrera fan. Well, it was rubbish. No point watching it again really. I still think Barrera fought totally within himself and could have done a lot more. Manny Pac wasn't himself at all, but neither was Barrera.
I don't regard those two as boring fighters though. Boring fighters for me include Hopkins, Ruiz, Wlad Klitschko and Taylor. There are probably loads of others but those guys stand out right now in my head.
;DI was not trying to be clever I have just had the misfortune to watch their crap fights.
Name a more boring fight that Johnny Nelson v Carlos de Leon.
And to have the referee object to the opponent of Sven Ottke hitting him too hard tells all you need to know about him. ;D
Nikolay Valuev
John Ruiz
Wlad Klitschko
Cory Spinks
Zahir Raheem
Nikolay Valuev
Billy Dib

I think that is Jorge Arce's resume there Mick...He said Francisco Arce (Though he is mot even near world class caliber to even consider to be on the list of guys considering he is not a mainstream fighter for the opinion to be debated)...
Now if it was Jorge Arce and he was on a boring list then I would suggest watching a new sport for him
I don't know what's funnier.
The fact that "Panchito" Arce is in ANY type of list in a boxing board or the fact that I thought it was Jorge... :dontknow:
 Thanks Daxx.
can't sleep? just watch, Jermaine Taylor Vs Cory Spinks, Ossie Ocasio Vs Carlos De Leon, or Sergei Liakovich Vs Shannon "The Ass Cannon" Briggs
1-Nikolay Valuev - not that i completely blame him, but he clearly just does not have any technical boxing ability therefore has to fight risk free and pour the jab in order to take a decision, valuev will never be value for money because the day he does decide to abandon his strategy he`ll get knocked out!!
2-Sven Ottke - the most overrated boxer of all time and anyone that has ever seen him will also tell you that. Ottke would wrestle his opponent for 12 solid rounds and use every single trick in the book. He would also spend half the fight crying foul to byest german refs every time a solid punch landed. I swear to god when he fought robin reid the ref told robin to "stop hitting him so hard"
3-Junior Witter - doesnt like to take chances despite his ability and even when he knew he was going to lose a decision against bradley he refused to take any chances. His fight agains corley was quite possibly the worst 140pound fight of all time.
4-Audley Harrison - Boy this guy could talk the talk but when it came to it audley floped completely at heavyweight because he just could not pull the trigger and even in the face of complete adversity refused to adopt an approach that would of at least seen him lose with some grace.
5-Matt Skelton - boooooooooooooring, all skelton ever does is wrestle his opponent onto the ropes and rests his head on them for 12rounds. Should of been thrown out against chagaev as it got borderline ridiculous.
Hey the SL v. Briggs fight at least had a dramatic and unexpected ending.
Chris Byrd-Davaryl Williamson is still the most boring and awful fight ive ever sat through. It mades Holyfield-Valuev look like Ward-Gatti. When the commisioner has to go to tell the corners their fighter needs to throw punches, thats pretty bad.
