Like the Ibragimov fight, right? Or any other fight since he got sparked by a pro-celebrity golfer and realised his jaw is made out of the finest crystal.
It must be true what they say about love blinding you to the deficiencies of others.
And it begin's.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Ruslan Chagaev
Question: Anybody knows who will have the belt in the end, Ruslan or the Giant hairy beast?
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Ruslan Chagaev
This fight will be the first fight for a Saddoboxing.com title, it is that important.
Even though Chagaev isn't super fast or strong, I think he is a lot more cagey than Ibragimov. I am gonna stay optomistic about this and say it ends up being more on par with the Thompson fight which was not a bad fight.

Totally agree. I think it could be a surprising fight. I quite like Chagaev, he has decent skills for a contemporary heavyweight. If he is anywhere near his best then I think he is capable of putting up a very decent showing.
I'm quite looking forward to it. If anything someone like Chagaev is probably more deserving of a shot at Wlad than Haye anyway. So, it has turned out pretty well IMO.

Then you must love yourself unconditionally.
How many times has it been said that AT HEAVYWEIGHT "One punch, no matter who throws it can end a fight"....Corrie Sanders wasn't in great shape but that explains his kamikaze style in that fight, he knew he had to win in the first few rounds or he wouldn't have a chance. There's no excuses for Wlad in that loss, he gave up his height and reach, left himself open and got beat, he's learned a lot from that...we've seen proof that he has, he's become a more polished fighter.
Also if you are a David Haye supporter, I wouldn't go talking about glass jaws if I was you

I will lean towards Valuev having the belt as he has Satan.....I mean Don King in his corner

You know what I agree with all of that, except the last sentence. Haye's 'glass jaw' is overexaggerated. He actually took a fair bit of punishment off Carl Thompson in their fight & finished on his feet. I would say his chin is probably a bit better than Wlad's, but for me there's no question who is the bigger puncher & who is the better technically (by far).
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Ruslan Chagaev
What happened vs Mormeck? Jean ain't exactly what we would call a "power puncher" and beyond that Jean isn't a heavyweight either and therefore he's not a heavyweight power puncher like Wladimir.
And didn't Haye get wobbled a couple more times in his career by some light hitting guys??
Also David Haye has never been tagged by a heavyweight....if he's getting his first true chin check from Wladimir's right cross or left hook, I don't think it's going to go very well.

I didn't think the Mormeck one was a bad KD, he certainly recovered from it well. I'm not saying he's Marvin Hagler or George Chuvalo, but I think he's less chinny than people make out. Like I said though Wlad is the much bigger puncher, personally I think he hits harder than Vitali or any other HW since probably Tyson, however he leaves himself open to get KO'd himself when he goes for it, so is not as exciting as he could be, but if he hits almost anyone in the HW divison clean with that right cross, then they're gone IMO.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Ruslan Chagaev
I don't think that reaction was all that great, he did eventually recover from it, but to fold up like that on a seemingly innocent looking punch....well it doesn't give me much confidence that he could even handle Wladimir's jab

He hasn't become a more polished fighter, he's become scared of his own shadow in the ring and terrified to throw his right hand. He's so bad to watch he can't even get on HBO anymore.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Ruslan Chagaev
I think Chagaev will take more chances than Ibragimov did. Which is good for us (the viewers) but bad for him.
Wlad will take him out in 8-9 rounds.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Ruslan Chagaev
Anyone see the Ring article online that claims this is a better fight than Wlad vs. Haye would have been!?
It claims Haye would have been knocked out early.
More importantly Ring Magazine is making this fight for the Ring Magazine Heavyweight Championship since Wlad is rated #1 and Chagaev is rated #3.
Gimme a break!
Anyway Lyle, I see this going a lot like the Sultan Ibragimov fight now that you mentioned that one.
Ibragimov probably had more of a shot since he actually hits hard.

David Haye should take on a fighter who is either as big as Wladimir, punch as hard as Wladimir, or have a similar style as Wladimir, or just a top level heavyweight. If Haye KO'd Sam Peter it would be good for him, I would respect it, it wouldn't be the greatest thing ever but it would be a good solid fight.
How Chageav may even pull off an upset,is he moves and slips really well for a Soviet era trained fighter
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Ruslan Chagaev
This fight could turn out like the Sultan fight but i doubt it though.
I expect Wlad to win in 7.
