Have they done any excavations,find artifacts?
Yeah there have been quite a few excavations, what makes the Wupatki Pueblo interesting is that they found artifacts (pottery and hand tools) that were determined to be made from all over North, Central and South America. They found skeletons of Macaw's and other animals that are natively tropical. They think it was the major trading hub of the southwests native peoples.Quote:

I have a few pics, but it doesn't look anything like a village. This whole area is part of a rain forest, so things are reclaimed pretty quickly. After my dinner I'll try and post a few good pics in this thread (if that's ok with you). Know any good image-hosting sites?
