How many guys get a title shot by fighting and beating the top guys 1 through 10? I have no question that the 'super' title is a load of crap but I don't think it's fair to suggest that other boxers don't work the system.
MAb may not be the fighter he once was as age and time served takes its toll, but he has as much heart as any man who steps in the ring. I don't know how much longer that will carry him, but it has to be respected. Would love to see him leave on a winning note.
I have no problem with Barrera getting a shot at Moses. Just I wouldn't class him as THE world lightweight champion if he won. Obviously he would be A "world" champion though. Just like Khan is "world" champion for beating Kotelnik.Quote:

I admit I haven't seen him fight but I would say at this stage if he comes forward and looks to fight that is favourable to Barrera (& possibly to moses but like I say I've not seen him) rather than a runner he has to cut off.Quote:

He'll impress a lot of these cats
Marco is an intelligent fighter with great skills...so i don't see him embarrassing himself in the ring. That being said...his best is behind him. He has fought for so long and been part of so many great fights...he should retire with pride. But boxers rarely ever do that.
Barrera is way past it.
He should retire.
