Well he is claiming that if he was white he would be a superstar in Britain and maybe the world and it's stupid.
If he had superstar qualities he would already be one.
haha that made me laugh, Khan is probably the hottest prospect in the world, he's been a household name since he was 17, he has electrifying handspeed, is now displaying one punch ko power and was already a big enough draw to bring a Hall of Fame legend over to the UK to fight him in his own backyard.
He is the very definition of someone having superstar qualities. ;)
Right if thats true then why the hell is he crying about racism ? he said he hasn't experienced it first hand so what the hell is he crying about ? he's got cash, he's got fame. So i fail to see what the hell he's on about ?
You get racism everywhere in every sport, thats a part of life accept it and move on. Hell i've had fellas call me racist names, but so what ? there ignorant morons just ignore them, most boxing fans don't dislike him because of his race.
Infact i'd say its a very small amount, if you listen to the crowd noise when he's fighting he gets a great response, so i fail to see his argument ? especially since he gets so much hype, and as you said is a superstar.

Give him a ring and tell him then Bilbo:rolleyes:
Hand speed and a win over old fighter by horrible cut = Superstar qualities.
You don't get a legend to agree to fight you, and you certainly can't be a PPV fighter just out of your teens unless you display superstar qualities Kel. You may hate him, not rate him or whatever but the kid has superstar qualities or else we wouldn't be talking about him all the time would we.
When was the last thread where we all discussed John Murray or Nathan Cleverly, or Kell Brook?
All great fighters, tremendous potential but they clearly don't have the star power that Khan has. People only want to talk about Khan, good or bad.
Re: Khan interview about the racist comments he made..
Im sorry I have a hard time dealing with what he stated...Sure without question there are racist people out there and as Bilbo pointed out he heard people calling him a sand nigger and paki bastard after the KO loss but truth is people say it about everyone at one point in time,,,
If Kahn was hispanic the comments would have been about a spic, boarder jumper etc..
If asain he would have been a gook, chink etc....
If American he would be called Trailer Trash or something
And so on...But people tend to use things like that as part of a you got what you deserved thing and have nothing better to retaliate with because they don't know the man and have nothing else to insult him with....
Even if wasn't an ass people would still do the same thing but being a JERK helps him none...With Kahns attitude they will seek out a crroked big toe to insult if need be

So Sammy Ventura has 'superstar qualities' for luring Barrera to China for a fight then, by your logic.
Re: Khan interview about the racist comments he made..
People get butt hurt too easy....b-hop says some of the most racist offensive shit out there and nobody cares...at least out of the two khan is actually fighting. He's racist so what....so are most people yet it's funny how shocked everyone is when they hear it. Can khan box ?? That's all that should matter.

Ventura is Mexican Kel, he went to China too he didn't lure him anywhere.
Barrera is promoted by Don King and King put on a heavyweight card in China with Ray Austin fighting Andrew Golota and Barrera fought on the undercard. Ventura travelled over as the opponent.
King and Barrera travelled to the UK purely to fight Amir Khan, with that being the main event. It's completely different.

You just need to fool the public through marketing and bullshit not through superstar qualites.
Re: Khan interview about the racist comments he made..
I agree that Khan is already a superstar in boxing, and will get bigger if he keeps winning (sort of why the moans are unnecessary).
Hopkins, the "legend," sold 6,000 tickets for his hometown fight the other week (the first he had there in years) Khan sold 10,000 for Salita.
Froch had 6,000 punters for his biggest fight against Dirrell. Obviously Froch is suffering from racism too. :)

Or that Froch doesn't have the superstar qualities Khan has :)

No shit Sherlock:rolleyes:
What I'm saying is Barrera was fighting these bums in places as far as China because that's all he was offered, of course he would jump at a PPV fight with Khan in England.
Had enough of this thread and talking about the most spoilt fighter ever.;D

This pretty much sums it all up , i judge boxers on ability , not colour or nationality , i don't back them just because they are white / black / English or whatever.
If Khan makes racist comments , then he has to accept anyone who is racist towards him , you cant have it both ways.
Also if someone doesnt like Khan he should just accept that , not play the RACE CARD , all the time.
Re: Khan interview about the racist comments he made..
Of course there is racim towards him, there is always racism, but it hasn't had any affect on him being a superstar. Getting dropped by Willie Limmond who couldn't put a dent in a sponge and getting KOed by Bredis who, probably have more of a part to play.
Frank Bruno is omne of the most popular British figures (not just in sport) in the last 50 years - and he was sh1t!!!
Naseem Hamed was a superstar.
Khan, just needs to look at himself and let his preformances make him a superstar

You'd have to be deaf and blind not to know that that is the case.
I was out the weekend he got KO'd by Prescott and coming out of the club around 1 am and finding out the result virtually everybody I spoke to about it was laughing and calling him a Paki cunt or a sand nigger.
It's most definitely out there, he's just a disliked fighter by a lot of fans and as a young kid it obviously hurts him and he thinks it racial related.
He was just talking from the heart and speaking what he felt.
It's easy to pick fault with him, but you don't have your every word reported to the press and picked apart.
He's just reacting how most confident young lads would when they feel they being targeted.
Well said, we all know it exists online, Specially on utube and chat forums, Its good that its nipped in the bud around here makes us stand apart.
