Re: Pac having blood taken 20 days before the Clottey fight..
Manny looks a little bloated there there isn't the usual crazy definition in his midsection. As far as the blood test, nothing surprising everyone knew the excuses Roach gave were bullshit anyways. He was just protecting his fighter with that I don't think anybody believed it.

Why the need for cameras hovering around and filming, it indicates a PR stunt more than anything else. Cameras should have no place in a private medical setting.
Re: Pac having blood taken 20 days before the Clottey fight..
Pac's team is just a rolling ball of contradictions. Either Pac is dirty or him and his team make some of the worst business decisions, in respect to their comments, in boxing history.

They talked about the blood test being REQUIRED of all professional boxers, and about it being obvious that Manny is not comfortable with the test. Manny explained in there why it's hard to have blood test taken near the fight, that he need strength, that if blood is taken it will weaken him and that it will take him 3 - 4 days to recover. He said it's okey to undergo the blood test as long as it's not near the fight date.
The "weaken me" excuse is absurd as anyone who has taken a blood test will tell you. A 14 day window was plenty of time before the fight too and Manny turned it down and here he is once again giving blood, but this time 20 days out. The guy is full of crap. Nothing he says ever seems to add up. Politics might well be the job for him. :-\
It may be absurd to a number of people but there are some who truly believe it.
Here's a video from an interview of Manny taken sometime in 2005 after the first Erik Morales fight.

But to be fair, in regards to the video, he did lose that fight. What do you expect him to say?
Pacquiao & his people have a history of relying on excuses after they don't get the outcome they wanted. Remember the "wrong kind of socks" fiasco after the first JMM fight?
I'm not saying it didn't make him weak & that was the reason he lost the fight to Morales. I'm just raising the question would he have said all this if he had won that fight? Would the blood tests have been an issue if he had won?

Some thug?? So what about Pac demanding ten million for every pound Floyd comes in over 147?? That aint the commission asking for it. Pac is a joke.
Re: Pac having blood taken 20 days before the Clottey fight..
Pacquiao is a little twat;D
He has done Floyd a favour, hes managed to come off a bigger wanker than Floyd ever has, hes making Floyd look good for once, hes even forced Floyd to take a match up other people have wanted to see for a long time, not me I couldnt give 2 shiits about him and Mosely fighting each other, im not a fan of either and Mosley is going to be embarrassed, hes too old, Mayorga was outboxing him;D and Cotto actually did beat him;D
Hardly anyone would pay to watch the Pacquiao fight over Mayweather v Mosley

Your statement implies the possibility that it may have made him weak. That is what I was trying to say in this forum all along, that there are a lot of speculations and possibilities with regards to the Pacquiao-Mayweather fiasco nor in any other fights. As boxing fans, we owe it to the boxers to at least give them the benefit of the doubt in the absence of credible evidence. They put their lives at risk for our entertainment. (I will jump ahead of myself and comment on those thinking that they get paid millions anyway. A select few of them do but they deserved it. However, they all started from the bottom.).
This forum will be a harmonious place if we just all agree. But then again, it will also make it boring.
I rest my case.

That case and the test he just had for Clottey are more invasive than the one Mayweather was requiring. And by saying there is a possibility it weakened him you must also admit there is a possibility it didn't and Morales was simply in fact the better man that night.
Damit I didn't mean to get sucked back into this, disregard..............

For me, Morales was the better man that night. I highlighted that statement to consider the possibility that the 'weaken me' excuse for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight may actually be valid (even though it may be erroneous).
Damit also, I already said that I rest my case .............

MONEY HAS NO BEARING ON THE FIGHTS DRUG TESTING DECISIONS!!!
I'm so sick of hearing, "if it were me and there was 40 million dollars on the table i would sell my soul to get the fight" (exaggerating of course).
If you are already a multi-millionaire and you can get millions using multiple different avenues, does a "big money" fight matter nearly as much to you as it does to an up and coming fighter or a fighter who hasn't had his big break, let alone a poster on a freaking boxing forum. I highly doubt it...
Who gives a sh!t about a 40 Million dollar payday when you don't need the money?!?!
What a load of bullshit, sorry I have been in Pac's corner for this for most part, but this takes the piss, he has blatantly LIED.
He and his team proclaimed that he needed 24 days minimum to recover from a blood test or it would weaken him, now he has his blood taken 20 days prior to his fight with Clottey.
Who gives a fuck about ego's?? This is the biggest fight in the last 20 years or so, end of the day Pac made his own rules up with the weight issue and the compensation if weight wasn't made, and Floyd wanted random drug testing. Now Pac came back with a compromise which I thought was fair enough and some of the excuses was him feeling weak etc etc so soon to the fight, but this has just shown him up big time.
Exactly, Manny is full of shit.
He's making a song and dance, "ooh look at me I am being tested 20 days out see!". It means nothing, testing needs to be random or nothing. Seems like a bullshit PR move to me, but we can all see through it. He won't fight Mayweather because of random testing, so being checked 20 days out against Clottey has little relevance.
Anyone making excuses for Manny is deluded IMO, all this talk of ego and not being dictated to are really lame excuses, as were the excuses about being afraid of blood tests.
Manny's stock has fallen horribly and I just have to laugh when I hear the guy mentioned in threads like this because it is all so pathetic and lame.
Miles, I keep hearing you say Manny has come out looking bad and his stock has fallen but I really don't see that.
Everywhere you turn, you see Manny being given the bye and Floyd being blamed for not wanting the fight/being too big for his boots with his demands/being a pussy etc etc.
Youtube (lowest common denominator, I know) is the best example but even my casual boxing friends all think Floyd pussied the fight. I'm shocked that Manny has come out of this smelling of roses and people are willing to let him off the hook for refusing to prove he's a clean athlete and, perhaps even more importantly, create the biggest fight in boxing history for the fans.

Maybe he thinks he needs PED's for Floyd but not Clottey???
Just a theory and I don't even believe it myself. I don't think Pac really juices but I have to say some of his behaviour is quite strange.

not enough time to prepare for fight-Roach even came out and said that. Floyd presents a lot of problems 4 Manny; and he's not the typical slow, in your face, battle worn fighter that he's been feasting on since JMM 2. Counter punchers as skilled and as fast as Floyd clearly give MP trouble and Roach knows he needs more than 2 months.
Maybe, his mind is on the elections; needed a bit of time to rest from Cotto fight...waiting a bit may make the stakes bigger
