I think that this proved once and for all how good Floyds chin is, and what great survival instincts he has. The majority of the trash talk Floyd comes out with is just to sell fights and if u believe it all your dumber than he is by far.

this is boxing so it's a given that at any given moment, any boxer can "stun" another one. but on the other hand, can floyd stun pacquiao? absolutely and most probably!

ask yourself this, is Pacquiao a harder puncher at welter then Mosley? Call me crazy but I couldn't see Pacquiao knocking out Margarito.

Pacquiao at 147 hasn't really been a one shot ko person he is more of a pressure and overwhelm kind of person. So I'm not sure if Pacquiao has the single shot power of Shane Mosley.

So probably yes but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. At least not like Mosley did.

The thing that I see is Mayweather's composure here. Even after the second shot see how composed he is? Even in the second shot which people will agree was the worse one his face he looks calmed he isn't panicking or anything he has great survival instincts and unbelievable focus to still be composed after shots like that. Especially the one to his temple that coming from Mosley would have probably dropped anyone else.

Floyd I think has a solid enough chin, some are overrating it IMO but yeah his composure was VERY good. The way he managed being hurt was more impressive than his chin.

And yes of course Manny can hurt him. Floyd rarely ever gets hit with a clean hard shot and that's twice now he's been noticeably hurt and he was hurt bad Saturday.

like i said in the other thread, Would Pacquiao have been able to take the shot that Mosley landed as well as Floyd?

Well who fucking knows? ;D

But Pacquaio has the better track record chin wise. But that's obviously in part cause Floyd takes fewer clean shots.

how so? when guys like Larios, Marquez, and Morales all badly hurt Pacquiao?

Badly hurt is a bit of a stretch.

Floyd never gets hit. He got hit a few times clean by Mosley and was hurt twice. He got hit clean by Corley and was hurt. Not badly hurt, granted.

Pacquaio's taken tons of clean flush hard shots and has been stunned some but never in danger of getting stopped since like Nedal Hussein. His chin's absurdly good. Floyd's chin has been tested far far less.

Mosley is possibly the hardest punching welter right now, and Corley's power was underrated by some as well, Floyd was rocked badly, sort of like Cotto against Corley, but he never lost his composure, and by the last minute of the round he was fine and basically won and broke Mosley down in that minute, came into the 3rd unfazed and took Shane to school

I think it's clear that Manny can hurt Floyd. In fact this performance makes me more inclined to think that Manny beats Floyd. Pac will be able to sustain things a lot more than Mosley could and with his in an out footwork and great upper body movement will cause Floyd a lot more problems than people think.

Floyd doesn't seem quite the same to me since his comeback. He was perhaps rusty against Marquez, but I think just as Mosley has slipped too far, Floyd might have slipped a little himself. He's much more flatfooted and arguably that little bit slower. I think Manny will have plenty of opportunities to find the target. It won't be like Hatton, but Manny will be able to make his chances IMO.

IMO Floyd has enough pop to hurt Pacquiao as well, and i thought that he looked as fast as ever last night, i just kinda felt that he was trying to put more weight into his shots in order to get Mosley to respect his power a bit

I don't disagree with any of that. I don't know if he was badly hurt by Corley. I haven't seen that fight in a while. He was badly hurt by Mosley but credit to him he reacted well and was able to get his hands up and ride out the storm.

Just saying, Manny's chin has been tested time and again and come through, that's the definition of a track record to me. Floyd I think has a solid chin. I'm not going to get on the granite chin bandwagon though yet.
