Re: Is Manny Scared Of African Americans ?
I don't think any fighter is scared of any other guy or they wouldn't be in this buisness in the first place. Black fighters hit and get hit just like any other guy. Any time race is brought into this sport for any reason it usually is due to a lack of boxing knowledge in general. Why would manny be scared of anyone ? All the scared, ducking talk reguardless of the fighter is usually from fans mainly those willing to tell others how to play thier sport instead of playing one of thier own. Boxing is what it is. In a perfect world the no guy would always fight the no 2 guy but that just aint how it is unfortunatly. There's money, promoters, and a whole slew of shady people that have to agree to get these fights we want. If any of us were fighters we'd be doing the same thing cause you really don't have a choice. Fighters on any level are some of the bravest althleats there are, easy to say do this do that fight him fight that guy, sitting up in the stands.

This reply might be inappropriate but pls let me. :)
Kevin Kelley just got dominated by Marco Antonio Barrera before Barrera himself got massacred by Pacquiao.
Derrick Gainer Ran, ran, ran, and ran from Juan Manuel Marquez in losing his strap before Pacquiao and JMM settled for a draw.
Mark Johnson is too small for 122.
Freddie Norwood went hiding for 6 years (2000-2006) after losing to Gainer
Pacquiao fighting these 4 instead of Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez and Oscar Larios ? That would be an enigmatic decision.

What about fighting Erik Morales after Zahir Raheem outboxed him silly over 12? They turned the Raheem fight down. I'm sure Pac is scared of no one but styles do make fights and a slick boxer is the worst matchup for Pac's style. I'm sure Freddie Roach is aware of that. High risk low reward. This is merely a business move. Its the style not the race. It has nothing to do with being scared though. Every fighter has a bad style matchup.

then youve misquoted yourself as your clearly of the opinion that all black fighters are "slick"

Where did I misquote myself? And how did you get I think all black fighters are slick? I named one fighter, Raheem, who is slick. And you somehow came up with that I think all black fighters are slick??? So if Raheem was white then I would think all white fighters are slick??? Umm, doesn't he have to be some race? I don't know how to make this any simpler for you. But once again, I said its not the race and Pac is not scared of any fighter. Its the style. Manny is easy to hit but he banks off the fighter being there to be hit back. A slick fighter wouldn't be so compromising. And a bad matchup doesn't mean a loss it only means a higher risk and/or not looking good in a win. Ex. Castillo/Mayweather.

You have a point about Raheem... but ERIK Morales just beat him 10 months prior...He need to settle a more urgent matter. besides he cant fight everybody Im sure there are hundreds of 'slick' boxers out there black or otherwise and it isnt Pac's obligation to fight all of them.
The bolded from your post answers your question.
Re: Is Manny Scared Of African Americans ?
I think they have done their best to keep Manny away from the slick style associated with african american boxers, but I think only FLoyd Mayweather is really good enough to exploit it against Manny who would beat pretty much anyone else. However I think Manny has had troubles with taller, slicker boxers Jorge Solis was the closest guy to that style, and he gave Manny all kinds of problems getting in, and he wasn't even close to the best guy at the style. One other thing is that slick american boxers take better, sharper angles than Manny, they are quick themselves, and they can fight on the inside which is a huge hole in Manny's game that most can't exploit because his footwork is usually too fast, and he is too powerful and explosive to keep on the ropes for most guys, but I think a good defensive tactician could really control the pace with Manny just the way Marquez often did in their encounters.

Yeah, I know why they turned down the fight I was just putting that glaring missing one in there with your lists of fighters. But I'm not one of those guys who expect the world out of Pac and expect him to fight all the slick fighters. It just would've been nice if he would've at least fought 1 of those hundreds of slick fighters you speak of. Especially Raheem who was the most talented and problematic.
Re: Is Manny Scared Of African Americans ?
Yes he is, Pacquiao is a cherry picking coward like Wlad as the Brits would say.

The funnier thing is a lot of people don't know that Manny is a slick boxer too. It is now one of his new arsenals.
