Full props to each of them if they have decided to go through with it. Its just as clear as day that there should be some uniform thing, making everyone take the same thing, at least in all title fights, although that could open some loopholes. Because I bet Wlad gets some support from some other boxers cause no champion is going to want to let a challenger dictate terms.

eh, choice of words, still the point remains the same, there are going to be those that sympathize with the champions right to tell the challenger to fuck off.
FWIW I've thought they were both on something for a long time, long before there was ever any controversy over Manny. I mean there's concrete reasons to think so.
The rumor mill is just going to get worse and worse, hence the need for universal testing at the highest level. Cause what are people going to say if Haye doesn't start to bang on this? If Haye doesn't ask for tests?

Maybe the same company made the bolts that fix their heads onto their bodies but that doesn't qualify them as brothers either.

Why is it when random drug testing is brought up and stuff the fighter thats supposed to be clean won't do it because "its an excuse for him to duck me"
It would be an excuse to duck if it prevents the fight from happening cause you don't want to be drug tested. He can't 'duck' the fight if you just say yes to it cause you aren't using.
So if he doesn't accept it he is just as guilty. Wonder how long this "he only wants me to drug test so he can duck me" as an excuse for not doing it.

I hate all this drug talk shit. As if fights weren't already hard enough to make now every other fighter is going to follow Floyd's lead and demand proof his opponent is not on PED's.
Hope Wlad sticks to his guns. If i was the undisputed heavyweight champ of the world I'd not be dicated to by some pudgy, pudding bowl haired inferior either.

I think its nothing but good for the sport, when it goes back to a completely level playing field then we will see some competetive matches.

The FACT is Povetkin doesn't want to fight Wladimir, Teddy Atlas and the rest of Povetkin's managers and handlers know he isn't ready and that a loss to Wladimir may very well damage his career because then he has to work his way back up to the top again and let's face it, Teddy Atlas is a fair weather trainer he doesn't stick around with guys that lose even 1 fight.
I doubt Wlad declined to do the testing because he's on anything, I mean this is the same guy who said "What's one more vaccination?" when he chose to fight Ruslan Chagaev.
I imagine if the WBA title holder wanted random drug testing Wlad would do it in a heartbeat.

I 100% agree. Why does it seem like some fighters either take offence at the idea of drug tests or make a big deal about it?
There are many lines of work in which the occasional drug test is mandatory. These fighters should stop acting like a request for tests is a slap in the face, and they need to stop letting pride (or whatever) get in the way. They should know that once they take the tests and come out clean, that's an added plus for their reputation.
