Where is this secret footage that shows Floyd being faster then Manny?

Pacquiao has slightly quicker hands especially when he throws in combinations but Mayweather's timing and accuracy is better.

Marquez wasn't faster than Pacquiao but his superior accuracy and timing caused Pacquiao hell and made Pacquiao's superior handspeed sort of irrevelant.

I see it being the same with Floyd but with Floyd being faster, bigger and better defensively than Marquez, i see Pacquiao having even more trouble.

Well one thing is for sure. You (Elterrible) are certainly not a Pacquiao nuthugger with that hideous signature. When are you going to drop that lame thing anyway? I don't think ANYONE has come with a single solitary shred of evidence that Pacquiao is on 'roids.

Pac is faster than Floyd now, and that's what counts. Floyd has heavier hands, which looks to be keeping his opposition honest these days, and I'd give him the accuracy too except (whah whah.....) he only throws 30 punches a round.

I am still hoping this fight doesn't happen. It's not an exciting fight at all. Only intriguing because of the matchup. I would rather have pac fight Meldrick Taylor, JCC, TBradley, Maidana, hell Cotto again would be awesome, even Berto.

But Watching Floyd fight? I have NEVER gone BACK to watch a Mayweather fight. They are painstakingly boring, and I can pretty much remember all 200 punches he throws in a 12rnd fight. Congrats to him for outclassing his opponents, and he's a great boxer. I just wish he belonged to another generation so I could admire him as a great fighter of yore, and not have to tell fringe boxing fans not to get too excited about his fights. He's the greatest boxer, but NOT the greatest fighter. And the storyline is the same... Mayweather is the biggest jackass ever, and everybody pays to hope the jackass gets his block knocked off.

just because pacquiao throws over 90 punches per round and floyd jr. averages 37 means absolutely nothing. what counts is the quality of those punches. and if one looks at their records, mayweather jr. is the undefeated fighter with the superior boxing skills, who has never been stopped and/or kayoed by mediocre fighters.

I think what makes Floyd so tough for someone like Manny is that Floyd has the ability to pick off a punch and counter with power and IMMEDIATELY move out of the danger zone.

To beat Floyd, Pacquiao will have to avoid flush counters AND avoid the clinch if he ends up hurting Floyd.

Manny was 18 and 110lbs his first KO loss by KO was to Singsurat who at the time was no ordinary mediocre fighter

We've seen Manny throw lots of fast combos, faster than we've seen from Floyd but that's simply down to styles, Floyd doesn't use them. The only thing we can truly compare is single punches and Floyd is much quicker than those.

Floyd doesn't dig his toes in and throw fast flurries because he likes to keep guys turning so that the can't get set and they can't counter him effectively.

Even if Manny's combos are quicker - it's not likely to count for anything, like I said Floyd doesn't throw them because it would mean having to set up shop and stick with it, he likes to move... the likelihood in my mind is that either Manny try to throw a quick combo and BANG countered whilst Mayweather moves off him and changes the angle or Floyd moves off him and leaves him with nothing but air to hit and at a bad angle to defend himself.

Even the fasted fighters cannot throw a fast sustained combo with anything on it all (ie: meaningless) without being relatively set, the ring movement available to you is going to be limited during the flurry.

It's much easier to throw fast combos against a slow clottey who offers at times almost literally no movement and very few counters, a drained Hoya and Ricky Hatton following a 'chin up. guard down, move straight forwards' gameplan but anybody who thinks Floyd is going to give the type of movement that would allow Manny to do this has never watched a Mayweather fight.

I never got those whole 'odd angles' thing with Manny either? He definitely throws from a lot of different angles, a lot more than most fighters but it's all pretty orthodox, he just has a fairly good variety.

When I think odd angles I think Naz and to an extent SMW-Earlier Light heavy Roy Jones Junior... bot Pacman.

it doesn't matter that pacquiao was just 18 yo. and only 110 lbs., the fact is this, he got blown away by singurat or whatever his name is, got blown away by the filipino journeyman, rustico torrecampo, got a long count (17 seconds) courtesy of filipino referee, carlos padilla, after pacquiao got knocked down, against nedal hussein, wanted to quit against the late agapito sanchez, got two gift decisions against marquez, got hurt by a much smaller oscar larios, lost to a very much past his prime, erik morales, who by the way was coming off a loss in a very thrilling but exhausting trilogy against barrera, fought and beat up an old, dangerously weight drained, oscar and made miguel cotto fight at a catchweight for cotto's welterweight title. pacquiao might have an outstanding record but when you scrutinize it, it has many holes and question marks. aside from the castillo fights, mayweather has had his way with every opponent he's fought. his fights haven't created any controversies like pacquiao's fights have because he's beaten everyone rather easily with zero doubts. it funny how people claim mayweather jr. refuses to fight bigger opponents than he. didn't he start off his career at super featherweight, win a title there, and gone up to 154 and win a title there? that's 24 lbs. north of where he won his first title! so it's crazy to say he's ducked bigger fighters than he because facts are facts!

it's easy to say mayweather jr. hasn't fought EVERY top fighters like margarito, vernon forrest, paul williams, etc...but the same can be said about pacquiao's refusal to fight fighters like joan guzman, humberto soto, joel casamayor, juan diaz and so on, when he was at the lighter weights. instead, he fought older, ready to retire fighters like morales and barrera, after they were through with their trilogy. he even picked on the much smaller larios at super featherweight when larios was a lifetime super bantamweight and almost got knocked out!!! like mayweather, he didn't take chances either in risking defeat by fighting other difficult, younger and in their prime fighters.

yea i'm sure you would rather have Pacquiao beat retired guys like Chavez and Taylor, or guys who won't beat the shit out of him, cause that's what Mayweather will do

and so what if he only throws 30 punches a round, with how bad Manny misses and how sharp Mayweather's defense and reflexes are, every shot within those 30 punches thrown by Floyd will be more effective than ANYTHING Pacquiao does, Manny still misses alot, and still gets hit alot, so his punch output wont help him one bit

I think Manny has the faster hands and can also throw them in combinations. Floyd only throws one at a time, at the most we will see 3 punches. Pac has a solid chin and I see no way that Floyd can deal with what Manny offers. Manny has everything Hatton had times 10. I think he is now the all round package and that Floyd will be overwhelmed. The second round of the Mosley fight also tells me that Floyds chin isn't all that sharp if you can rattle it often enough. Floyd isn't stopping anyone and he isn't going to outwork Manny. Floyd is 33, pushing 34, just back off a long lay off and hasn't beaten anyone in their prime or in their weight class in a long time.

Manny is too hot for him now.

As fast as Pacquiao is Marquez shut the new and improved with a right hook version down. You don't need speed to shut down speed and Mayweather is a better boxer who hits harder then Marquez and is naturally bigger.
