Mike would vaporize Bruce Lee. Mike Arnaoutis that is.
Its very logical that Bruce Lee can really fight.
Fighters, Celebrities and some Journalists have confirmed this. And the selling point of Lee in Hollywood is the fact that he can fight in real life.
This is a good match up :)
but i wont bet againts 86 to 89 Mike Tyson.
I never said Physical Feats meant everything in a fight, but they are deffinitly the most important in a fight. (Being in shape that is). I'm kinda confused about which post to respond to,tyson or Pacquiao? I agree that if Tyson connected cleanly to Lee it would be lights out, I just dont think he would connect. Theres a reason there is a seperation between the sports of MMA and Boxing. I don't think the best in one sport can beat the best in the other. I take it that these fantasy bruce Lee vs fights were if the 2 bumped into each other on a back alley and didnt like the way the other looked at them. To respond to your post, "Having gloves in a boxing ring with hands only is not a way to judge someones fighting ability either." For Goodness sakes have you watched Kimbo Slice? He is the prime example. He fought only with his hands on youtube and when he comes to MMA he gets embarresed because he wasn't seasoned in the whole game of a street fight! (By the way, I am not a Meat head MMA fan, but I can respect their talents.) I dont' really want to use a washed up James Toney as an example but he was younger than Couture, and he couldnt last one round. I love Boxing but respect both sports but the facts are that MMA is a much more realistic street fight setting and If you put Bruce Lee in the Octagon I think he beats Pacquiao without breaking a sweat and takes a long two rounds to get past the weight issue with Tyson, but still puts him away. Even tho small Bruce Lee was a physical specimen and until someone could deal with that speed they would have extreme problems. Sorry for the long post.
P.S I'm gonna go Friggin Postal on the next person that says Bruce Lee was just an actor!
Bruce Lee is an actor...
(c'mon, you asked for it)
I don't wanna start a long discussion, but I still wanna point some things out.
First, Kimbo Slice is way closer to Bruce Lee than Tyson. Slice never fought professionally before he entered MMA. Even if he have chosen boxing instead, the outcome would have been the same. Basically, he were a "internet star" that kicked the ass of some random guy, but got pummeled again a professional.
But don't get me wrong about MMA, I firmly believe a MMA fighter got a strong advantage again a boxer of the same size in a MMA ring. But I believe the difference in size is really important.
Let's use an example to show how I see this.
I'm 100% certain modern elite MMA fighter like GSP or B.J. Penn will kick Bruce Lee ass, even if they were at the same weight. It's my point of view since I firmly believe martial art got perfected in the last decades.
Keeping that in mind, I highly doubt a MMA fighter of 140-150 lb would have any real advantage again a 230 pound boxer. Especially a beast like Tyson. Of course, it's easy to say : "Hey, he just have to jump on his feet like Couture again Toney, put Tyson on the ground and it's finished". Well, it doesn't work that way. A perfect example for this is the wrestling match GSP had with former hockey 250 lb brawler George Laraque. Even if GSP was able to put Laraque on the ground, he admitted it was quite hard because of the difference in weight even if Laraque have near zero wrestling experience. And no punch was permitted in that practice.
So if we put wrestling in the trashcan (because of the difference in size), I really think the outcome would have been different in Couture-Toney fight (It's no wonder Couture didn't even tried to compete again Toney on the ground). And if we got back to Lee, his martial art is Kung Fu, so I highly doubt he'll even try to put Tyson on the ground anyway.
Finally, for those who are certain about Tyson's inability to hit Lee, I highly suggest you to watch this video to have a real demonstration of Kid Dynamite speed and accuracy. Each time Lee would get closer to Tyson to kick him, this if what he'll have to avoid :

P.S. Oh yeah, and one last thing, Bruce Lee was just an actor :p
(Yep, you really asked for it)
I agree with you about 50%. The part about Martial Arts being perfected in the last few dacades, ya ok kinda, but Bruce Lee was the Leonardo Da Vinci of his time. I'd put my entire bank account on Bruce beating GSP or especially BJ Penn. Would he ever go to the ground agaisnt a fighter, no probly not, but why wrestle when you can strike? Its kinda like football, your a running team because you cant pass. I guess i see Bruce Lee in a different light than most people. Im not making him to be God or anything, I just don't think he ever got the credit he deserved by some. His book that he and his wife wrote "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do" is the best practical self defense book ever written IMO. No gimmicks, no fantasy moves in fantasy situations. Its funny in his book, the things he stressed the most we're being in top physical shape, kicking your enemy in the groin, and gouging their eyes, and you have to take those tactics into account if he were to fight a man almost twice his size. I don't care how big Mike Tyson is, if he were to catch a hard finger into the back socket of his eye, or a swift kick to the testicles, that is a complete game changer, I dont care if its agaisnt Godzilla!
Bruce Lee is just an actor!!!
Anyway, this whole thing about Tyson being too slow to catch him is usually one spouted by people who've not boxed at all. I've sparred with Heavyweights (I'm a Light-Welter) & despite the massive speed advantage, you will still get caught occasionally. Maybe not clean, but you will. Then add in that what we've not seen is whether Bruce Lee can take a punch like that. Add in Tyson's experience & I doubt someone who hasn't been trained as a boxer. Tyson would be able to read Lee's movements, at least with his hands & see patterns. Getting to the very top of the boxing profession requires you to be so ridiculously good I don't think people realize it.
I say both Tyson & Pac stop Bruce Lee. But then I obviously don't know anything, hell I just wrote out a serious answer to this, so scratch what I said Bruce Lee explodes Iron Mike's head with his pinky.
Next question... who wins?
Bruce Lee vs a Tyrannosaurus Rex (I think I know who Levi's got)
I think the simplest way to make your pick is to understand that to damage tyson... Bruce Lee has to stand infront of him...
Sure he could use mobility to move off etc... That might work but all its doing is pissing mike off. To do any real damage he is going to have to be closer to tyson for longer than he can get away with.
Tyson may end up getting thumbed in the sternum or a broken cheek bone etc... But Lee would gladly trade that for the new arsehole that Tyson literally rips him.
Sheeeeeeit... Bruce Lee had skills and all, but people act like he was a Jedi Knight
Bruce Lee punches Tyson's throat.

Tyson's windpipe collapse.
Tyson dead.
End of story.
hmmmm, I guess I give the edge to the T-rex. Give Bruce a pair of chucks and its on. That would be bigger than Godzilla v. Mothra!
