Yep, agree with DarkLord here, Lewis 3-5rd KO, to accurate, too strong, too quick for Bowe. It would resemble the fight with Grant in my eye's, Lewis simply too good in his prime for anyone in that era!Quote:

no way. Bowe was never smoked by anybody. Lewis was smoked TWICE with one punch by 2 nobodies. How can DLA say Bowe's chin was dodgy, when in fact it was Lewis with the dodgy chin?

Andrew Golota hit bowe at will , and dropped him many times , and yes Lewis was beaten by KO twice.

"thrice" means Im counting the time you said "his corner knew". I don't think his corner ducked anyone but Lewis. So OK that would be once not twice. Jamaicans Do smoke pot, so you could have said "his corner was on ICE" rather than that "dodgy" addjective you used. I agree with you that between the two of them once, one could consider the one of them "thrice", but not in the way I meant it exactly. I gave you a thumbs up, I mean cool click for your last post. When I previously said you were smoked thrice I didnt mean anything by it.
Lewis manhandled Bowe in the amateurs I doubt the pros would have been any different especially after 1 war with Holyfield after which I think Bowe was pretty much done, the fight took that much out of him.
This was a fascinating match up. Bowe had good power, a good jab, better mobility than lennox, equal size, and a great uppercut on the inside. Lewis, at times, showed great power, especially with his right. Lennox also had a great jab and was a great ring general, especially after Manny Steward starting working with him. Both fought well against other big men, and I think it is fair to say that Bowe had the better chin. To me Bowe's prime ended in 1993, as he was never as great as he was when he beat Evander in 92. Lennox had a much longer prime, which probably ended around '01, when Rahman blasted him. The intangible in this fight is whether Bowe could get over his mental block with Lennox, and fight at his best. If that happens, I can see Riddick using his mobility and jab to set up a late stoppage over a broken down Lewis. I suspect that Bowe would have let the pressure and memory of their previous fight get to him however, and Lennox would win by late stoppage or UD. Either way, I think it would have been a great fight.

Not to be pedantic or anything, but you could say that of practically any competitive heavyweight fight where there's been a good discrepancy in size. If Holyfield was as big as Lewis and Bowe yet still built and able to fight the way he was he would've whipped most grizzly bears ffs.
As for the fight I agree with most posters on this thread, they really peaked at different times and it may never have had the makings of a really great matchup given that. Lewis was definetly nowhere near the force he became in the early 90's, his balance wasn't great and he didn't pump his jab the same way. I think Bowe would've been able to get to him as a much better infighter at that point. By the time Lewis had really become a great HW Bowe was fat and getting beat up by Golota. To truly pit them at their peaks would've been great to see, I cant think of two guys that size with more athletecism between them.
