I just want to say one thing before I head out for lunch..
I could be forgetting some names but I dont think Ive seen a Euro fighter this skilled since Joe Calzaghe... Super Kev got that style... He's made from a similiar cloth as fighters such as Marquez, Linares, and Nonito.. Skillwise, Kev has it... Burns better give him a shot..

I presume you are trying to wind us all up ? Mitchell is a good fighter with plenty of heart but he is also really easy to hit. You can use the Prescott fight as an example of exactly how Burns would not fight him. Mitchell is used to people standing in front of him and trading, and this allows him to use his Boxing ability to look good in catching and counter punching his opponent. Burns won't stand in front of him and get drawn into Mitchell's game. He will be much more elusive and if needs be, mix up styles mid-fight. I have not seen Kevin adapt as well as Burns yet and if it happens it will be a close fight but Mitchell is less like Calzaghe then Burns. Burns engine is awesome and like Joe he will not tire towards the end of fights. You can catch him early and he will learn from it. Mitchell got caught by Murray and did not change his style. There are plenty of skilled European fighters who can match or beat Mitchell for skills since Calzaghe you just ain't been paying attention.:box3:;DQuote:

That has to been taken in account when comparing the two fighters.
I like Mitchell alot myself and i think a fight with Burns woud be a good one but to make out Mitchell is on another level is silly.

If you claim that Burns has a better chin and is more durable, Id would agree.. But to say that he's the superior technican is 100% wrong.. He's not the better boxer and you can ask any trainer out there or anyone who boxes, they'll tell you the same.Quote:

WE can't use Katsidis as a measuring tool cuz the difference is, Mitchell fought a prime Katsidis while Burns fought a war torn version of him.. and on top of that, Mitchell was inexperienced at the time and he didnt train properly due to outside issues..
Ricky Burns may have played the role of a boxer against a one dimensional Katsidis but against Mitchell, he would have to be the aggressor cuz you dont box with the superior boxer and his camp knows this... If they are realistic about things, they SHOULD know that they have to take the fight to Mitchell without attempting to outbox the superior technician.
Ricky Burns just doesn't have the punching power to put Kevin off his tracks.. That's the main thing for me.. He's not a good pressure fighter and at the same time, he doesn't have real punching either so a fighter like him will not give Kevin much to think about.
I watched both guys again last night and ohhh mannnn, lol, Ricky Burns is TAILOR MADE for Kev.. tailor made.

Because all ov a sudden kat is done blah blah!!!.agreed Kat has had a tough career but am pretty sure he wos in his fare share ov wars before the Mitchell fight also.am also intrested to know wot Mitchell fights ur watching that makes him this world class fighter?presscot the guy is very average and done zero since khan,most recently the murray fight very gd fight to watch but Mitchell wos hurt a gd few times and had to dig very deep.
