We have had this talk a few time's bud,and I all way's said Burn's,
would beat Mitchell, the only thing that let's Burn's, down is that
lack of a big punch.?But I do feel Burn's, to be the better boxer
and have the better chin.?
The thing about Mitchell,he doe's bring his problem's out the
ring into the ring, till he put's a stop to this he will never,
succeed at top level.?![]()
Fighscorecollector... Im not going to say it's impossible for Burns to win but based on styles, it's a longshot.. BTW bruh, Roman Martinez and Katsidis arent world class opponents, especially Martinez.. Katsidis did perform on a high level during his prime but he hasn't been the same since the loss to Marquez.. Roman Martinez, Katsidis, and BUrns are all B level fighters..
GreenBeans... Kevin Mitchell is one of the very few current British fighters with supreme boxing ability and Burns isn't anywhere near his level.. He may have mental toughness but overall, he's about two notches below Kevin Mitchell..
Dia.. We are are always gonna have to agree to disagree when it comes to Ricky BUrns.. lol I just dont think he's anything out of the ordinary...
Kevin Mitchell's work ethic ahd durability are questionable but as far as natural abilities are concerened, he's head and shoulders above the rest of his fellow british fighters... He has A level talent while Burns is a solid 2nd tier.... There's a clear line between these two fighters..
Top rank is also considering Mitchell as Rios' next opponent..
Reports from across the Atlantic say that Dagenham's Kevin Mitchell (32-1, 24 KOs) is being considered as the next opponent for former WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios (29-0-1, 22 KOs). Rios (pictured) lost his title on the scales four weeks ago but still managed to eventually overwhelm Manchester's brave John Murray.
If the match comes off, it would take place on a Top Rank card in Los Angeles on March 3rd, co-headlined by Yuriorkis Gamboa against Rocky Juarez.
The reports say that both sides are willing to take the fight, but Mitchell's legal problems could prove a stumbling block to him being allowed into the States.
In the meantime, rumours persist that Mitchell will in fact take on New York-based Dubliner, Stephen Ormond, in February. Although the Irishman has a perfect 11-0 log, that looks, on paper at least, to be an appalling match.

Finito u keep going on about not gauging Ricky burns on the kat fight. Because all ov a sudden kat is done blah blah!!!.agreed Kat has had a tough career but am pretty sure he wos in his fare share ov wars before the Mitchell fight also.am also intrested to know wot Mitchell fights ur watching that makes him this world class fighter?presscot the guy is very average and done zero since khan, most recently the murray fight very gd fight to watch but Mitchell wos hurt a gd few times and had to dig very deep.
I just want to say one thing before I head out for lunch..
I could be forgetting some names but I dont think Ive seen a Euro fighter this skilled since Joe Calzaghe... Super Kev got that style... He's made from a similiar cloth as fighters such as Marquez, Linares, and Nonito.. Skillwise, Kev has it... Burns better give him a shot..
I presume you are trying to wind us all up ? Mitchell is a good fighter with plenty of heart but he is also really easy to hit. You can use the Prescott fight as an example of exactly how Burns would not fight him. Mitchell is used to people standing in front of him and trading, and this allows him to use his Boxing ability to look good in catching and counter punching his opponent. Burns won't stand in front of him and get drawn into Mitchell's game. He will be much more elusive and if needs be, mix up styles mid-fight. I have not seen Kevin adapt as well as Burns yet and if it happens it will be a close fight but Mitchell is less like Calzaghe then Burns. Burns engine is awesome and like Joe he will not tire towards the end of fights. You can catch him early and he will learn from it. Mitchell got caught by Murray and did not change his style. There are plenty of skilled European fighters who can match or beat Mitchell for skills since Calzaghe you just ain't been paying attention.![]()
If Mitchell and Burns were to fight, i would favor Burns.
Burns is actually a better technician than Mitchell and he's also tougher and bigger.
Burns wins UD imo.
I would back mitchell against burns as i think style make fights![]()
