Also put some on his countryman Usyk.
Well that was easy money ;D
Serik Sapiyev (Kazakhstan) edged out Lomachenko and a couple of Cubans for the Val Barker Trophy. Impressive feat for Kazakhstan...their 3rd Val Barker winner in the last 5 olympic games.

We never had a moments worry.
I backed the Cuban Flyweight that won gold after seeing his first round (12/1). Personally i'd have gave him the Val Barker.
Re: The greatness of vasyl lomachenko!
Close call for the trophy, the dude that beat evans or lomachenko!!
I thought vasyl deserved it. Anyway 2 golds...told u he was special.
Re: The greatness of vasyl lomachenko!
Serik Sapiyev and Vasyl Lomachenko were equally deserving of the Val Barker trophy. Both fought consistently well and defeated some talented and very determined opponents.
Since Vasyl won it in 2008, I don't mind seeing Serik receive it this year.
