Grant it, the right people were not informed. That is a technicality that his team dropped the ball on not him. It does not detract from the fact the he tested below the accepted level for rehab. What he is guilty of is stupidity. Not only was the amount consistent with accepted limits but he's the one that asked for random tests. Nobody is that stupid. I give him the benefit of the doubt in this instance because I have watched and kept up on him and his brother almost since they moved out of that cardboard box in the alley. He's worked his ass off to get to where he is and because he's not a household name or big draw he has had to work twice as hard. For this one my glass is half full.

Lance Armstrong can't be a drugs cheat because he beat cancer, was an inspiration to millions and raised fortunes for charity. You can't bring peoples backgrounds and personalities into these things.
Why would a drug cheat not advocate stricter testing? If they disaprove it brings immediate suspicion on themselves and also most think they won't get caught.

VADA do a type of testing called Carbon Isotope Ratio testing. CIR testing can tell the difference between testosterone that is naturally produced by the body and synthetic testosterone. Peterson's people didn't know CIR testing exists as nobody else, even USADA test for it. In the steroid world up to this point testosterone was/is the drug of choice as it's produced by the body and you can legally have up to six times the normal amount in your body, an amount that replicates the action of anabolic steroids, and still test negative in drug tests. That's why hundreds of boxers/MMA fighters are taking it.
Peterson had already beaten the drug testing for the Khan fight despite admitting he was full of synthetic testosterone so he had no reason to think he was going to test positive -- after all, it was just a substance that occurs naturally in the body and it was under the acceptable limit. And do you really believe all these muscular superfit alpha male fighters actually have hypogonadism and aren't naturally producing enough testosterone?

Grant it, the right people were not informed. That is a technicality that his team dropped the ball on not him. It does not detract from the fact the he tested below the accepted level for rehab. What he is guilty of is stupidity. Not only was the amount consistent with accepted limits but he's the one that asked for random tests. Nobody is that stupid. I give him the benefit of the doubt in this instance because I have watched and kept up on him and his brother almost since they moved out of that cardboard box in the alley. He's worked his ass off to get to where he is and because he's not a household name or big draw he has had to work twice as hard. For this one my glass is half full.
VADA do a type of testing called Carbon Isotope Ratio testing. CIR testing can tell the difference between testosterone that is naturally produced by the body and synthetic testosterone. Peterson's people didn't know CIR testing exists as nobody else, even USADA test for it. In the steroid world up to this point testosterone was/is the drug of choice as it's produced by the body and you can legally have up to six times the normal amount in your body, an amount that replicates the action of anabolic steroids, and still test negative in drug tests. That's why hundreds of boxers/MMA fighters are taking it.
Peterson had already beaten the drug testing for the Khan fight despite admitting he was full of synthetic testosterone so he had no reason to think he was going to test positive -- after all, it was just a substance that occurs naturally in the body and it was under the acceptable limit. And do you really believe all these muscular superfit alpha male fighters actually have hypogonadism and aren't naturally producing enough testosterone?
I'm no bio-chemist. I majored in philosophy and then became a public servant so all of this technical stuff is out of my league but if its as intertwined and complicated as you say then I conclude that everyone is cheating. I mean after Gamboas affiliation with a certain lab became public all of a sudden people are coming out of the woodwork on some forums that he has been using hgh because of the shape of his jaw line. Now we can go around and around eternally on this and my opinion is not a scientific one. I personally do not believe he purposely tired to cheat because again of the amount found, an injury backed by doctors and the fact that he asked for random tests and lets face would have known of or been led through any cycle program. Perhaps they should simply ban the use of steroids in physical rehab ans be prepared to sit out a year instead of six months.
As far as the rematch goes it has the same outcome. Khan has no plan b and once things do not go the same way they do in sparring he's lost.

Peterson was caught with a massive level of synthetic testosterone in his system. It was prescribed by a dodgy doctor who isn't qualified to deal with hormone deficiencies and who didn't inform the authorities like he was meant to. He couldn't get any credible doctor to back his hypogonadism claim up. Peterson asked for random tests because he'd already beaten USADA random testing in his previous fight and thought there was no way he could be caught. If you're caught taking banned substances in any other sport then you're banned for a period of time, months or years. Why should this case be any different?
