Uh ok. Seriously you think Khan would not relish the chance to get one of the belts back he bent over backwards to defend, in a guys own backyard, who then cheated and screwed him over for it? Khan maybe arrogant, idiotic and glass jawed but he is also ambitious, brave and capable of coming back from a seemingly career ending defeat. Fast hands, decent power, he is a decent light welter.

Khan v Peterson will happen now that they are under the same promotional banner. I would not be surprised if it is his next fight.

You and others have got to quit claiming the cheat card my friend. He was under the acceptable amount of specific steroids for healing. That is in the rules. You are allowed through a doctor to use roids for rehab and that's what he did. As if he would ask for random tests if his intent was to cheat. Neither brother has any history of cheating. Given where Lamont came from and what he has achieved I just don't see it. The Wbc stripped him/ Big surprise there. The Ibf used science, logic and facts. Khan lost to Lamont because he fights like an idiot and not because Lamont was on Peds.

PEDerson doesn't have a muscle wasting disease and he doesn't need hormone replacement therapy.

The IBF used nothing, its clear what his intent was in using testosterone. It isn't an anabolic steroid but someones testosterone levels USUALLY don't just drop out of no where, especially before a big fight.

He claimed that he was testosterone deficient and there was no mention of any injury. Its true that he wasn't going to build muscle with what he was using, but that doesn't mean that he tried to use it as a PED. And you'd think he'd receive the proper dose to get his levels back to normal if he actually had a medical condition (which he doesnt) and not abnormally high.

Of course it will. But I think its a sideways step at this point. Peterson was supposed to be a speed bump in the first place and now he is stretched it into overtime and become an equal story for all the wrong reasons. Partially because Khan was stretched in a bad way himself vs Garcia. The fight Khan 'could use' is Peterson but thats strictly and only because he can gain a trinket...the one he needs is Garcia and some serious redemption and course correction. He needs to be camped on papa Garcias lawn and insulting his wife and get this fight on already!

Lamont cheated. Lamont Lied. There were rules in place Peterson flaunted them. Khan lost a close fight without using synthetic testosterone pellets, but Khan brought the belts to the table and followed the rules. If having the testosterone levels of a 70 year old man was a real honest and truthful assessment of Peterson's situation then what was he doing in a boxing ring, and why did he not mention this until after his test came back positive post fight? If he was not taking a banned substance then it would not have shown up in tests. Even if he gained no advantage by taking what is in effect a steroid he was still cheating. The IBF just lost even more credibility and risk sinking to the depths of the WBC. There is no science logic or facts that can excuse a sanctioning body for allowing a fighter to keep a belt that he won whilst failing a drug test even if that test was self imposed.

Agreed. Another thing here is that he lost due to a questionable points deduction and the referee failing to call a legitamate knockdown in the 1st round. Round one should have been a 10-7 round. Also, that guy speaking to a judge was dodgy and nothing has been done about him. The whole thing seemed bent, and I'm not even a Khan fan.

That is simply wrong. Again, he tested under the allowable limit used for physical rehab and had he been using for purposes you claim he did then the amount in his system would have been ten times the amount found. The reason the Wbc stripped him is because they hate unification. The Ibf accepted the reasoning which was supported by doctors

If you're going to use synthetic testosterone you need to decalre it and get a medical exemption certificate. He didn't do that and when the first sample tested positive he claimed he was clean and hadn't taken anything.

“You have to declare it. It’s illegal to use it in many countries without a prescription,” explained Catlin. “If you have a legitimate prescription from a legitimate doctor for a lab-approved cause, it’s ok. But if you are an athlete you have to get a TUE (therapeutic use exemption) to make sure it is accurate because many, many athletes want to take it because it improves their sporting ability. And a lot take it and just say, ’Oh., I have low testosterone.’ That’s where this is the scurrilous part of all this. There are lots of doctors that do that.”

And how did he get "caught" anyway if his levels were in therapeutic range to treat testosterone deficiency??

He should be stripped of the IBF title.

Grant it, the right people were not informed. That is a technicality that his team dropped the ball on not him. It does not detract from the fact the he tested below the accepted level for rehab. What he is guilty of is stupidity. Not only was the amount consistent with accepted limits but he's the one that asked for random tests. Nobody is that stupid. I give him the benefit of the doubt in this instance because I have watched and kept up on him and his brother almost since they moved out of that cardboard box in the alley. He's worked his ass off to get to where he is and because he's not a household name or big draw he has had to work twice as hard. For this one my glass is half full.

Lance Armstrong can't be a drugs cheat because he beat cancer, was an inspiration to millions and raised fortunes for charity. You can't bring peoples backgrounds and personalities into these things.

Why would a drug cheat not advocate stricter testing? If they disaprove it brings immediate suspicion on themselves and also most think they won't get caught.
