Re: How do you prefer your beer? warm or icey cold
Ice cold. I used to put bottles in ice or in the freezer for an hour after I took them out of the fridge but now I have a beer fridge that keeps the beer at 1 degree.

A beer fridge? Living the dream! ;D
Re: How do you prefer your beer? warm or icey cold
If I'm at the beach with a cooler full of beer, it's usually gonna be light beer and I prefer it ice cold. I'm into quantity rather than quality. If I'm sitting back enjoying some good brews, they don't have to be that cold. The better to truly enjoy the taste.

I can recall beer being served at room temperature at pubs in the UK as late as the 60's, but I really don't know what it's like there now. Just guessing i'd say Germans, Russians, and other Euopean countries, et al still drink their brew warm, cool but not super cold. I'm not sure about Australians, I do know that their beer is quite potent compared to "yank' beers.
Thoughts?
yeah we americans have been drinkin Coors Light for about 20 years now---whats that piss water fizz pop about 3.8%
Cold as they can come here too mate.
Ours used to be more potent but I think its all been pared back to a standard maybe 5.2 is about the strongest commercial one now, 4.50 probably around average. One used to be 7.5 way down south in Tassy.
The boutique breweries have the best now.
I can remember hearing about signs being put up in Aussie bars warning us yanks about the potency of Australian beer. Fosters for example had a really high alcohol content back in the day, us pussy ass Americans couldn't handle it. ;)

Yeah, 3.8, 4%, something like that, Coors Light actually tastes pretty fucking good, but the best part about it is you can drink 6 to 10 of them and not wake up with a hangover. I like those 16 oz. aluminum bottles Coors Light started marketing a few years back. On a hot summer day, after going for a long walk, mowing the grass and working in the yard,
3 of those 16 oz. aluminum bottles right off of ice from the cooler is just what the doctor ordered.
we're talkin major urination in about 25 minutes there. Coors light IS good. I prefer Coors Extra Gold have you had that Mars?
Re: How do you prefer your beer? warm or icey cold
Cold. But after 6 or 8 the temp is irrelevant.

I don't recall ever drinking Coors Extra Gold, although I used to drink the shit out of regular Coors, and Coors Light back before I quit drinking in 1998. I didn't start back drinking beer again until 2010, you would think from listening to me that i'm a big time drunk, but I just drink a fraction of what I used to.

I literally just found those 16 oz twisters last year. The can itself it fucking sweet and reusable but lesson learned, don't bring one to work with a smoothie in it because no one believes you ;D Only ones I can find are Coors light and Miller though and they only sell the 9 pack. They just "taste" fresh?!
Btw Coors lights is the shit! Very first domestic I got hooked on. We would get cases of Longnecks back in the day from a friend who worked graveyard shift at 7-11. Never payed a single dime.
Had some Killians tonight...one of those best at mid cold
Re: How do you prefer your beer? warm or icey cold
Does Coors even have a beer? Whats its name? I'm sure you have great micro breweries but American domestic is crap.

Re: How do you prefer your beer? warm or icey cold
Beer is OK in the winter at whatever temp it is in my garage, I keep a case or 2 there and the rest goes inside into my beer 'fridge. When the weather is hot beer is best icey cold. When I drink it, whether it's summer or winter, I usually drink it (a 12 oz bottle for example) in 2 to 3 separate gulps. I'm not one to nurse a beer for long, the longer it sits the flatter and more flavorless it gets.

? - that's the name of the beer = Coors or Coors light.
Some of the American domestic brews are pretty good, you've just got to know what you're looking for and there's hundreds of domestic brews to choose from.

Re: How do you prefer your beer? warm or icey cold
Lager should be cold; very cold. It isn't a drink that tastes very nice warm. It needs to be cold to have that crispness and sense of being nice and fresh. I wouldn't drink it warm and I would certainly never put any in the kettle.
