Lager should be cold; very cold. It isn't a drink that tastes very nice warm. It needs to be cold to have that crispness and sense of being nice and fresh. I wouldn't drink it warm and I would certainly never put any in the kettle.

I have a hard time drinking mass brewed beer most of the time, it's usually just watered down lager with gimmicky cans.
