I think Floyd is the greatest boxer of all time, but I have to say no, I don't think he will retire undefeated.

Reason being, he's shown that he isn't the smartest/most conservative guy outside the ring. I say he will retire undefeated, but make comeback after comeback because he needs money, and he'll get caught eventually. I've seen big signs of him slowing down over the past few years.

I hope he loses one day but have a feeling he loves his 0 so much that he will want to retire with it intact so think he will retire undefeated.

As someone mentioned before, if floyd moves up to fight at 154 the risk is intensified.

Floyd has nothing to prove at 154 and he is at a major diadvantage at that weight.

Martinez, canelo and trout need to grow some balls and create their own legacy by moving up in weight themselves and getting in the andre ward mix or fighting each other.

Obviously, everyone wants to fight mayweather as the money involved will be the biggest payday of their career, but these guys need to start creating some type of hype and ppv status about themselves and stop using floyds name.

Retire undefeated, you must be a younger fella, or on drugs like floyd senior and uncle roger maywetaher...

lil floid will close out his career in about 10 years time from now with a $#!tload of losses on his record against lower-level competition, and with a couple more short prison stints to boot.
He's gonna do like Roy Jones did which is to fight mostly 2nd tier guys during his prime, and after his prime is gone, then start fighting the tough guys that people had wanted him to fight all along, except now it's too late and he gets his @$$ whupped all the time. He should've taken the tough fights during his prime when he probably would've won them.

Floyd certainly won't lose to Guerrero, the only way Mayweather loses his '0' is if he stays in the game too long, and that's a possibility.

I think Pacman was the only genuine chance to beat him, but that was 3 years ago. Pacman couldn't beat an egg right now. I see no one to challenge Mayweather and beat him in the next 12 months at least.

I can't recall if you have ever answered this question, but if Floyd fought Cotto and De La Hoya at 154, why wouldn't he fight Trout, Canelo, and Martinez at 154? Moreover, if we are talking legacy, don't wins over those guys do more for Floyd's legacy than wins over Robert Guerrero and Devon Alexander?

Khan is surely going to have to do something meaningful at welter to get a Floyd fight. People aren't going to shell out for a PPV just because the WBC ranked Khan number two welterweight. Floyd is going to have to fight guys like Canelo if he wants the PPV dollars to keep coming in.

Although apparently he's got a guarantted minimum for his next six fights. Surely Showtime aren't dumb enough to give him a massive minimum and then let him pick guys like Khan to fight?

I cant see the martinez fight happening due to the hbo/showtime clash.

Trout and canelo are possible but i dont see canelo beating trout which would make the most money.

I would like to see floyd fight bradley next but i cant see floyd fighting a top rank fighter.

I think floyds legacy is already written.
but for some reason some feel he needs to be in a tough fight where he gets a bit more bloodied up, or perhaps knocked down again to prove he has lived up to this rocky style moment of struggle and heart.

Floyd has had tough fights and because he gets out of them without no real injuries or visible damage is more of a compliment to his skills.

Like when a pre ruiz-roy jones dominated everyone and made james toney and hopkins two of his easiest fights there really is no difference in the way they both dominate their opponents.

The only way floyd gets a loss is if he beats himself by just mentally not having it anymore or suddenly instantly getting old in the ring.

Someone mentioned khan as a future opponent but khan has garcia and peterson to get through first and that wont be easy.

Plus. Robert Guerrero has achieved far more than canelo has.

Well, from the outside it seems like Floyd Jr. has put himself in a rut commonly occurring with boxers who enjoy great success: all of a sudden, everyone in your immediate (and most times non immediate) family depends on you to live. They are literally sucking off the now many tits of your success.

We all know Floyd Jr. is known for his extravagance and he makes no claim to the contrary. That alone has put many boxers in the hole. But I'm gonna go so far as to say that Floyd is a lot more frugal than we perceive. But that's just an educated guess.

I only see Floyd Jr. being beat in 2 ways: 1) he's just too old 2) the burden of this co dependence of his family to which they also demand an equally extravagant lifestyle to Floyd Jr. in which they have no way to sustain themselves. Which would lead him to fight on when he really shouldn't.

His skills are unmatched. Not theoretically either, or up for debate between pundits. Mathematically you can see that Floyd Jr.'s skills are way beyond anyone else's even now. He trains like no other, and he wins like no other. Period.
