A guy like Lara (and probably Trout) would pick him apart.
No way, Canelo can take what Kirk can dish out and give it right back to him. Trout he'd have a shot at. Lara is another given what night he catches him on because Lara can look awesome or woeful.
Cotto is interesting but I think he's got enough left to take Kirkland out.
I think there is 1 bout and 1 bout only for Kirkland....a rematch vs Carlos Molina!

Kirkland would have to be in tip top shape to face Cotto. Otherwise Miguel would destroy him inside a few rounds, maybe even the first.
Re: Where should Kirkland go from here?
Agree with all of that, Kirkland won't beat a serious puncher with skills, he can't get out of the way of anything to save his life. A rematch with Molina would be interesting and Carlos deserves it, but the first fight was boring as hell so I'm not hoping for it. The fight I'd most like to see Kirkland in is against Keith Thurman, that's interesting imo.

Me too. That's a great match up.

Agreed, top choice for an opponent. I still think Molina deserves a rematch, that was a be stoppage

I would like to see the fight too ;D but would prefer Thurman to do business at welter for the time being. Willie Nelson, Bundrage or Mundine would be my picks :D build some momentum and get everyone talking again on the way towards a top guy ;)
