i totally agree with this
hunter is trying to stop him doing what has made him good

They need to stop trying to fix him. Let him do what he's good at and focus on his strengths. His whole game is totally exposed at this stage. Everyone knows he can be chinned out. But he also has the offensive ability to beat world-class fighters.
Khan has no shot against Mayweather. It's a poor match up.
I agree with the thread starter that this fight is deceiving in its competitiveness although I cant take the step to suggest Khan wins. Khan is not going to have to brawl here. Nor will he have to convince himself that he will have to in camp. He can concentrate on those skills that he normally leaves in the dressing or abandons quickly in the fight. He's most likely faster then Floyd and to even entertain beating him you have to have an above average jab and he has one. The key is to establish it. Easy to say but hard to do when scrapping brawler/swarmers and the puncher/boxers that like to mix it up. For once, he can put the majority of his camp on boxing and not fighting like a dwarf in a phone booth. Of course this theory goes out the window if Floyd decides to walk him down.
Odd fight. On the one hand you have a guy that really does not deserve to be there after being beaten and at times on a heap by much lesser men and yet he has the potential to do much better against Floyd then any of his conquerors. There is some real intrigue for me style wise here regardless of what it looks like statistically. Both Pender and Turpin beat an older version of Robinson. Neither were supposed to.
Floyd is better than most of the guys he fights at pretty much every department , at least khan brings very quick hands to the table.
I see khan boxing in and out using his feet for maybe 4 rounds , then at some point he will walk onto a big counter shot and get stopped by the follow up assault.
I think Khan is wound way too tight to effectively box relaxed vs Floyd. He does have brass klangers and heart though, and when he gets caught that's what gets him in trouble.
This is a mismatch. The hype machine will once again make a lot of people think it's going to be a competitive fight...it won't. People keep mentioning Khan's speed. You cannot beat Floyd with just speed...just like you can't beat him with just size. You need to be an intelligent fighter with a great all around skill set who is willing to be patient/methodical (a great, consistent jab doesn't hurt either). Mental strength is as important as any physical one against Mayweather. Khan doesn't posses any of these attributes.
I think it's a total mismatch and a waste of time fight, but it might just make sense for Floyd if it's a big payday. I do think Khan has as much chance of anyone outside of Pacquiao below 160 pounds, only that chance is zilch imo. His supporters will say he has what it takes to make it an interesting fight before he get's KO'ed, is that really the kind of intrigue a big fight should have:D
hmmm. Mayweather wins. Khan won't be able to hit him, he gets flattened by one of those big counters.. early or late .. it's a Mayweather win and probably an easy one. Hope I'm wrong.
Virgil body language tells me that he isnt even bothered with khan and doesnt want to be put in the situation of going against mayweather.
Virgil is a great trainer but he doesnt seem to have much confidence in his fighter from what ive seen on the youtube interviews.
As mentioned by dark lord, the first 4 rounds will be very interesting.
Khan will be on point for this one and will be ready..such a shame that its not bradley. Such a shame.
Okay here's what I think.
It woods be good entertainment to see Amir use his range, speed and aggressive punching against Floyd.
It would be great to see Floyd score a long overdue KO.
It would be fantastic to see Khan knocked spark out.
What is there to moan about?
