i think before we can do that we have to accept ourselves as being multi faceted, so our material perspectives have a chance to change accordingly.
Nice thread btw.

Despite your astral wandering you have missed the point entirely. ;D You have yourself already been deceived by your body into using the same comfortable pair of slippers. I am not disputing your beliefs, just trying to remind myself, and others, that what we take to be the physical world, as relayed to us through our senses is in fact our own personal recreation. I have had to sit through a few weeks of physiological lectures in everything from optometry to surgical assistance and a lot of what I had forgotten or had not been aware of , reminded me of a truth we all forget. Experience itself is transformative. Every nano second light, sound and other waves are transformed by our bodies into neuro-chemical reactions that turn the cogs in the big illusory funfair that is our brain. We have to be unaware of such things to function and even in a highly meditative state we are never aware of the real world as it is. How could we be ? if your supposition is true and this is a dream? The moment you exist outside of a dream you are not only awake, the dream itself ceases to exist.
I have never said that I believe only the mind has memory but you, ( like I have of you ), have already formed an opinion of what I would believe and how I think. This modelling is essential in order for us to have a relationship and carry on a conversation, but it is no more reality than the movie on a screen or the novel on a page. I have always believed that memory can be laid down in DNA and science is starting to confirm this. I hardly knew my Grandfather before he died, but my father tells me that he loved boxing, was also a filmaker/artist and photgrapher etc when not working at the newspaper and I remind him of his Dad. I never knew any of these things, but I do not think that trades and expertise, as well as the love of things is solely passed on in families because of just proximity and cultivation.
Even when you wander among dimensions and states you have to return and use your tongue or typing fingers to relay that experience to me and others and as is customary you will use human terminology and references to describe them. That is not to dismiss you reports because if God/Dark matter/Spirit/Energy is truly in everything then their is no need to look anywhere else to find it. If we are it's expression then time and existence outside of
NOW
is illusory and irrelevant. If we all sat down in front of the sea and painted the same picture, life would be shit and meaningless. It's what makes following man made religions ( and by that I mean ALL ) so ridiculous and blasphemous.
I should make it clear that I do not consider everything from a logical/Greek/Scientific basis, and most people don't, not even those who are dismissed as materialists. Our nature will not allow it. Electricity is just a word used to describe a phenomenon. From synapses firing to sheet lightning, lighting up the sky. It can convey an idea of the experience but it is not the experience. My point was that even before you get to constant flux on an atomic level, we are all constantly changing and not really here at all. Even if you look at it from the point of view of a physicist.
That current, that energy is both here all the time and not here at all. Polarity is a biological fact not just a Taoist principle ( I have a huge Yin/yang in my front garden made out of stone chippings and in the glass on my front door) or an electro- chemical process.
Sight in all it's complexity is built on the simple principle of ON/OFF.
So are sensors in cameras.
So are light bulbs.
So are genes.
So are Jeans :-\:lickish:;D
Sunny / shady, Empty/full, Female/male these are all expressions at either end of the same arc. An endless cycle, one radiating out toward the other. Life/death. Matter/ Ant-Matter. They all move in both directions.
Beanz I dont judge,I just like to use a number of perspectives. I try not to think anyway about anyone,I dont tend to group people into sections in my head either, unless they have some formed club then its all too obvious they need their grouping to gain some added power or advantage. I try to just observe them and judge nothing personally on them.
What I cant get a hold of regarding thesis, religion, politics, and even likes and dislikes etc is that other people generally really do care what others believe or don't. I think that in itself must be such a jail,as the reverse; to not care even a percent is a real freedom.
Like you say, humans share a perspective for sure and we do see and hear each other as others do and we agree on shades and damage, disease, all sorts of things. Many choose to face only one way and wont even turn to glimpse anything behind them and others look to history and ignore whats in front of them aside from all the other ten thousands things we ca decide to live or die for in between. From a human material perspective we end, so time appears lineal. I could even be my own relative once past and carry forward my karmic debt in physicality and deed who knows we can go within and we can search outside as well. One thing is for certain energy cant be destroyed and it cycles rising and falling, also as above so below turned out to be true ,the planets are similar to our electron make up ad each cycle has effects on the furthest portion.
Take this for example. Mechanical gears in insects. Not only was it there all along, we had to become technologically advanced enough to be able to see it. It's great to see also how multi-generational and cross disciplinary the project became too.

So even what we think is an opposite but heavily unbalanced set of dualities with technology on one side and the natural world on the other is at the end of the day all about perspective. Tools are everywhere. So much so that we ignore them and think only of physical man made objects. I believe that language is a tool but this until recently was disputed by most linguists not because the evidence was not there but because they had become fixated on something else. My Mrs after her stroke used to have to have her plate turned around, or else she would only eat one half. Neurologists and physios used to think that this was because left lobe damage meant that she could not see anything on her right. This was commonly believed until recently of most people with aquired brain injuries. The reality though is not that she could not see the left hand side of the plate but that she had become fixated on the right. Thanks to the brains remarkable plasticity she no longer has this problem and it has adapted, but it is a useful illustration. We all become fixated on ideas and models, and so new, or more accurately, newly discovered ideas, take a long time to adapt to.
Anti-Matter is such an idea.
There are cults who predicted the world would end on a certain date. Psychologists and anthropologists had the idea of studying them before this end date. What they found was even though the world did not end on that date they did not give up believing in the cult. In fact it strengthened their belief because they thought their faith had prevented the aliens/God/Devil, whatever, ending the world ;D
Anything but change:o. As though fear can stop it.
We are all changing.
Always.
I know you don't judge Andre. That is not what I meant and I apologise if that is what you thought I was inferring. What I meant is the human condition is one we both share, and that commonality is as diverse as it is alike. Assumptions are not necessarily concious or judgemental either, they are just a way of building bridges that can sometimes inadvertently be seen as walls. You are correct of course energy can not be destroyed it has nowhere to go.
what I find amazing is that we could have partner identities which at the exact same time whether linear time or not or performing the exact same tasks and saying the exact same things as we are saying right now but only in a very slightly different way. For example there maybe 11 or 19 or even 39 different parallel universes all of them containing someone named Andre in each of those universes Andre may indeed be living in a country called Australia however in three of the 39 universes andre is living in a country that used to be called Australia. On one Tuesday in the month of March in a year which ends with the number 9 Andre may indeed have had oatmeal or porridge for breakfast. This particular breakfast may be the only differentiating factor between all 39 individuals named Andre at that precise moment in time.
there could be an infinite number of Andres. Six hundred and twelve thousand of themmay have spoken the exact same sentences on July 2nd of any given year but the rest of them may have never spoken on that particular day due to a vow of silence which they had all taken in their childhood for a specific July 2 nd in their futures, etc and my point is that on that particular July 2nd the circumstances of whether or not Andre spoke would be the only differentiating factor amongst all the lives of the infinite number of Andres.
Maybe. Parallel ones, that is one theory from the best minds. Could be that dimensional is like a ladder of higher and lower frequencies of existence each level protected from the last but supported from the next; lower frequency compressed into matter bound by laws gravity and other actions for self exploration. Higher frequencies more back towards the original form of all within one being.
The Higgs boson or what some call the God-Particle seems to lead in this direction?
Meaning if we are privileged to define it: It could lead us to a plural answer.
That underneath that particle of existence which we will give a name to---- may be controlled by something even smaller or its dimensions will be just as incomprehensible- that we will label those- particle(s) that created the God particle Higgs boson . (The mother of Higgs boson particle LOL!)
To comprehend our (complete)existence may be futile—at least in the way that If we made or built something- we are the engineers of that which we produce; as an end result: we have a thorough understanding of how it came to be and why. We are capable of explaining it- but not capable of making someone comprehend it. Be they in a different society-or if we went to a different planet where beings havent progressed to even using structures made from matter that we'd call vehicles.
While we should strive to learn and pass our knowledge to the successive generations that may grow wiser than we- there is a limitation that sits with me:
Only the engineer/creator of a planet, star, galaxy, solar system can explain its structure and or origin; it composite.
But the one who listens is still subservient to what Greenz said- their perception and or perspective- which IMO at this time in the universe for us on what we call earth- is still carnal-even more so- from an infant’s perspective.
An infant in the scheme of universal creation.
If there was/is a singular creator- who came down right now and explained how it created itself- I think in our current state- it would be like putting a 1000 watt bulb in a 50 watt socket. It would BLOW our MINDS!
:shocking::shocking:
You ever think one energy decided to split up and go out into realms unknown for the sake of experience and you are just part thereof?
when I was 18 years old and I came up with a crazy theory which 20 years later I read about in a philosophy book. I was jogging at night by myself and suddenly I ask myself quote and I quote What if God was lonely and God decided to destroy itself because God asked itself if it had the power to destroy itself could God destroy itself. But just before destroying itself got asked itself I wonder if I have the power to gather myself back together again after destroying myself. So the universe now is made up of the explosion on the self destruction of God the willful self destruction of God. This was just God testing itself testing to see if it had the power to put itself back together again. Could each particle in the universe have an essential godlike quality so that eventually given enough time all the particles will reassemble themselves back into the mind of God before the explosion or shall I say self destruction?
Any of you think string theory is valid?
I have actually read a bit on string theory the Dali llama was fascinated with it and after reading some of his books it brought me to the string theory. I must admit a lot of what I read was over my head but much of it makes sense. The problem is for each paper that comes out about the theory another comes out poking holes in it. Very interesting regardless. A quick Google search is all you need.
No Big Bang? Quantum equation predicts universe has no beginning
"The universe may have existed forever, according to a new model that applies quantum correction terms to complement Einstein's theory of general relativity. The model may also account for dark matter and dark energy, resolving multiple problems at once.
The widely accepted age of the universe, as estimated by general relativity, is 13.8 billion years. In the beginning, everything in existence is thought to have occupied a single infinitely dense point, or singularity. Only after this point began to expand in a "Big Bang" did the universe officially begin.
Although the Big Bang singularity arises directly and unavoidably from the mathematics of general relativity, some scientists see it as problematic because the math can explain only what happened immediately after—not at or before—the singularity.
"The Big Bang singularity is the most serious problem of general relativity because the laws of physics appear to break down there," Ahmed Farag Ali at Benha University and the Zewail City of Science and Technology, both in Egypt, told Phys.org.
Ali and coauthor Saurya Das at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada, have shown in a paper published in Physics Letters B that the Big Bang singularity can be resolved by their new model in which the universe has no beginning and no end."
