we will have to wait until they each have their next fights and then they can really discuss the fight and make all of the arrangements. i really want kovalev to destroy stevenson but we will see what happens. im not losing hope yet on this fight. it may just be more of a hassle than it needs to be.
You'd sure as hell blame Adonis..that's for certain.

I suspect Stevenson's camp is going to try to fuck Kovalev on the money or promotion. Stevenson cannot win this fight. He can't go the distance with Kovalev.
A fan of Stevenson......suuuuure.
You're just in denial.
How the fuck do you KNOW Stevenson can't beat him?
Hopkins took less to fight Kovalev rather than fight Stevenson...because he saw Sergay as the more winnable fight.
That should tell you something.
If Adonis pulled this stunt you'd be all....;DQuack quack quack
Now look at you.

He's been shafted from day 1...why get all concerned now?
Now.....all of a sudden.... ya'll understand the money side of things all of a sudden.Ain't that a bitch;D
Stevenson is called a duck for not fighting for peanuts...now you're talking out the other side of your hypocritcal ass.
Re: Kovalev withdraws from Friday's purse bid
This is not what it appears to be and people should wait. Duva was not going to outbid Haymon so this move looks strategic and none of us are flies on the wall. I'll take a wait and see approach. Its simply out of character for the fighter and its most likely a management call. They had to know it was going to be in Quebec and we all should know that he does have an IBF mandatory. Lets be honest here that the Stevenson camp also knows about his mandatory challenges looming. What else we do know is that Stevenson has never called him out and in fact acted as if he could not even mention the Russians name over more then a year. We have also not heard a peep from the Ibf as to whether they are willing to allow him to skip a mandatory. The object of the game here is to see 1 undisputed champion and we are as close to that as ever. In fact its never happened since we have had 4 belts. Spinks was the first triple crown winner prior to the Wbo. Roy equaled the task but a man named Dariusz also had a claim.
Something else is at play here and its certainly not Kovalev running scared. The report is pretty vague. They pulled out of a purse bid for a fight that might happen in 2016. So what?
Re: Kovalev withdraws from Friday's purse bid
Hoping Stevenson loses before Kovalev has to fight him?

Could just as easily be the reverse. We don't know what happened beyond a freaking press blurb. Perhaps a wrench got thrown in with the hopes that Kov would lose his Ibf defense?

You wanna put money on that? If you want to put your money where your mouth is PM me and we can do this for real. Stevenson doesn't have a prayer.
When this kind of shit happens, every moron wants to form an opinion without knowing the facts. I don't do that. I wait for all the information to come out before I start running my mouth. I don't know why Kovalev's camp pulled out, but I'm sure it has more to do with money than it does with a fear of Stevenson.
Re: Kovalev withdraws from Friday's purse bid
I think Fenster hit the nail on the head. This is a promotional/broadcasting turf war. Kovalev has an exclusive contract with HBO. IamInuit, got the rest. Main events won't outbid Haymon, which means the fight would be on CBS or some Haymon ppv thing... At which point Kovalevs choices are:
-Try to fight for pennies on Haymons promotion where the odds and money are stacked against him and then be sued for those pennies and more by HBO
- Haymon leverages more pay if Kovalev signs a contract with him. He gets sued by Duva, and Probably HBO for breach of contract and is locked out like the thing with ward.
- Stay on HBO and try to get stevenson to fight on HBO to maintain his contractual obligation and still get his belt from Stevenson.
...so Duva counter offers the fight on HBO with Stevenson getting a bigger cut that he should get but not more than kovalev (and everyone gets to keep the money they make). Both Haymon and stevenson know the deal and realize its the end of the line so to speak if Stevenson gets Krushed... and theres more money to be made in the long run on the slow bleed of stevenson and feeding him bums. So Haymon flashes money and calls Duva's bluff and flips HBO the bird by winning a purse bid (but never having to actually spend the money) for a fight that can't be made. Smart by haymon, Dumb by Duva in that she walked right into it hoping the pressure and promise would Corner Stevenson/Haymon into making the fight someone else's terms.. and $h:tty for us in that now, the fight wont get made unless its under stevenson/haymons terms or Stevenson loses/gets stripped and Kovalev gains the opportunity to fight for it before stevenson does again (Rematch clauses make that unlikely)
Re: Kovalev withdraws from Friday's purse bid
Duva is saying the main reason she's pulling out is that both guys are unable to fight each other next and might lose or look bad in their next fight so it's impossible to put an accurate money value on what the purse should be before they both come through their next fight. Why did Duva bother forcing a purse bid (which would have cost her money) when she knew Kovalev was tied to HBO for another fight?

Well you morons were quick to call Stevenson a duck when he wanted to get paid.
Stevenson didn't fight Kovalev BECAUSE OF MONEY...just like Kovalev...don't get all understanding about the dollar now.
Too many robberies to bet.
To say Stevenson doesn't have a prayer is blind nutthugging.;D

Maybe Duva is afraid Kovalev gets crushed...;D

Ya, kovalev really got shafted in the bhop fight with his purse. He should be making bank now considering he is almost unanimously considered the best LHW and is exciting and had tons of KO's. I think that he is getting taken advantage of by his promotor.

just FYI, I understand how big of a troll you are so I will just let you know now that I will not respond to anymore of your posts. So you can stop wasting your time and commenting on what I say or continue to waste your time and respond to me. Either way is fine. Now if everybody would do the same we could just get rid of you.
