Re: Will the American officials be fair to Kovalev when he fights Ward?
I just like scrolling down and seeing your previous four 'will they be fair' threads ;D
If it's Jack Reiss Kovalev will lose two points before the bell rings. American, Martian or a judge in Botswana..these days you go in assuming a second opponent.
Re: Will the American officials be fair to Kovalev when he fights Ward?
Ward has home country advantage. Las Vegas is not a long drive from the Bay area.
It's like Kovalev fighting in Yakaterinberg - same distance. Ward has home country advantage as always.
I just hope there's an honest referee.

I always use the example of mayweather and pac. Most people in the US were going for pac to win even though mayweather was American. If mayweather were from England, no way anyone from England would be going against him.
most people wanted Mayweather to lose in all his fights but he wasn't exactly on the wrong end of any harsh judging
he was American, and really Americas only major boxing star, fighting in American

Don't remind me. Worst piece of judging in the history of the universe.
Although it was never proven one way or the other, word is that she:
1. Was blind and deaf.
2. Was paid off handsomely by GBP.
OR
3. Was getting done by Canelo, Oscar, or both.

yeah very true
you know what tho, there were rounds in that fight where Mayweather didn't throw a punch
it was about the third when canelo was pushing the first 2 and a half minutes, only landed about 3 himself and then mayweather threw one punch and it landed and the commentators were bumming him
im not saying canelo won or owt, I just don't think it was as clear cut as people say

I'd have to see that round again, because I felt Mayweather won every round.

You would.
It was a close fight which Canelo made. Fraud was running around protecting his delicate hands.

Ward has the home country advantage because who the fuck wants to see a prize fight in Russia? If given the option I bet Kovalev would rather the fight be in New York or Atlantic City rather than say...Moscow or Saint Petersberg or Omsk or Novosibirsk. The money is going to be better, the tv will be better.
Refs, Judges.....they ain't gonna save Andre Ward, only Andre Ward can save Andre Ward and frankly I don't see it happening

Close fight? Close fucking fight ? I don't have to watch it again to see that you're in cuckoo land! ;D
Re: Will the American officials be fair to Kovalev when he fights Ward?
it was closer than people made out
Floyd did next to nothing in a few rounds
if I could really be bothered id check judges scores and watch the rounds again and then build an argument supported with video evidence, comparing judges opinions with the action round by round and everyone would go, O I he's got a point
but I cant
Re: Will the American officials be fair to Kovalev when he fights Ward?
I don't know if this has been mentioned already but I'd seen something on YouTube recently saying that Ward isn't exactly liked in Vegas after 'what he did' to Dan Goosen.
