Re: "intelligent" man WON'T STOP when a COP orders him to STOP---guess what happened?
Lawsuit Filed For Sactramento Man Beaten By Cop For Alleged Jaywalking « CBS San Francisco
That the guy should've stopped and tried to avoid the incident is beside the point. The main point here is that.....
How many more videotaped incidents is it going to take before someone takes a long, hard look at how the police force conducts itself in everyday business and does something about it?!?
The guy was punched 20 times in the face, suffering a concussion by getting his head bounced against the concrete. If that motherfukking poor excuse of a cop isn't thrown in jail for assault and battery, it's just another mockery of the justice system in the United States.

Why shouldn't people have the right to question why they're being stopped?
I can't stand pricks that blame everything on racism but there's no justification for behaviour like that unless the man was a wanted crim or threat to the cozzer or public.
Yeah, me neither (seriously).... but consider this:
"Cain’s jaywalking accusation exemplifies a pattern within the Del Paso Heights police district, which in the past year has been responsible for nearly 75 percent of jaywalking citations issued in the city. Half of those have gone to African-Americans, who are only about 15 percent of the area’s residents."

So either blacks in Del Paso Heights police district do a hell of a lot more jaywalking than anybody else, or.....

All police officers should have to wear cameras for their own and the publics protection.
Re: "intelligent" man WON'T STOP when a COP orders him to STOP---guess what happened?
"Cop-cam" is a necessity long overdue. But law enforcement will probably wait for a few more riots/ protests/ lawsuits, and maybe even a President with balls before grudgingly implementing it.

What has the % of voters got to do with that?
Re: "intelligent" man WON'T STOP when a COP orders him to STOP---guess what happened?
I'm not being contrary here I'm being absolutely serious to all you people who think the cup did something wrong. It doesn't matter if your opinion is that crossing the street is legal or not and it doesn't matter what your opinion is. A police officer asks you to stop you don't keep walking away from him and saying f*** you f*** you leave me alone f*** you. That right there shows some kind of failure to comply which also could be a sign of something much worse that you are hiding. What is the damn big deal if an officer says to stop what is the damn big deal are you people that proud are you people that proud and indignant that if an officer asks you to stop? What is the big deal if you have to just stop for a moment it's a yes officer can I help you and stop stop right there and speak to him like a human being in a respectful Manner and see what he wants. How do you people know what this man wants?
Re: "intelligent" man WON'T STOP when a COP orders him to STOP---guess what happened?
Master and Tito fan and Gandalf has it ever crossed your mind what if this police officer just got a call that there was a suspect on the loose who just committed an armed robbery or a rape and this guy happens to fit the description? Are you saying the officer has no right to stop that guy just because he is jaywalking? What if he fit the description of something? Do you know what secret information the police officers or radio into each other? This police officer has every right to stop somebody in check if they think something is wrong period that is their job.
Re: "intelligent" man WON'T STOP when a COP orders him to STOP---guess what happened?
It doesn't surprise me that Gandalf has evaded my question in typical Lefty fashion but let's try it again Gandalf and I would like to ask master and Tito fan man to man come on man up right now and answer this question man two men without any kind of evasion. If a police officer look you squarely in the eye and said if you keep walking I am going to take you down. Stop right there or else stop please stop right there I'm going to take you down. Are you telling me that you would keep walking and tell him f*** you? I can guarantee that neither Master nor Tito friend nor Gandalf would do that in that situation

Let's say the man was a fleeing murder suspect..... had been involved in a shootout with police..... had fled in a speeding car..... had forcibly resisted arrest.
The cop STILL cannot punch the man close to 20 times in the head, causing a concussion.
What about the preceding statement is so hard to understand??!!??
This man was JAYWALKING, for crying out loud!!
As a cop you're taught to leave your emotions and your personal problems at home.
Oh..... and your racial prejudices too.

If only that was true but that has nothing to do with how the man was treated.

A police officer must be aware that not everyone will comply for a variety of reasons. They could be deaf, mentally ill, be an addict, may have had a bad experience with police, just having a very bad day. How an officer behaves and reacts is crucial to manage the situation.

It's not true?
NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio ordered the NYPD to crackdown on people selling untaxable/loose cigarettes and Eric Garner was resisting arrest for that very thing when he died.
Soooo you're telling me that Mayor DeBlasio (whom people voted for) was NOT acting in the interest of NYC when he ordered the police to crackdown on that because they were losing tax money?
