Let's say the man was a fleeing murder suspect..... had been involved in a shootout with police..... had fled in a speeding car..... had forcibly resisted arrest.

The cop STILL cannot punch the man close to 20 times in the head, causing a concussion.

What about the preceding statement is so hard to understand??!!??

This man was JAYWALKING, for crying out loud!!

As a cop you're taught to leave your emotions and your personal problems at home.

Oh..... and your racial prejudices too.

If only that was true but that has nothing to do with how the man was treated.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

    It's not true?

NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio ordered the NYPD to crackdown on people selling untaxable/loose cigarettes and Eric Garner was resisting arrest for that very thing when he died.

Soooo you're telling me that Mayor DeBlasio (whom people voted for) was NOT acting in the interest of NYC when he ordered the police to crackdown on that because they were losing tax money?

So a democratic mayor was against jaywalking and this occured

That could be the case yes....in the case of Eric Garner it most certainly WAS how things were and what does Mayor DeBlasio do? He fucking blames the cops who were doing HIS bidding.

This COULD be just another case of police brutality, it COULD be due to the Mayor or elected official, it COULD be something else entirely....all I know is I don't much like it. I don't want people beaten like that for fucking jaywalking....at the same time, if an officer is asking me something/ordering me to do something I'll more than likely comply. If that officer gets an attitude with me, then I could very easily see myself in the place of the man stopped for jaywalking and I don't reckon I would like that all too well.

We've got a corrupt police force where I live, however we do have a mighty fine Sheriff (an elected official by the way). A county over they used to have a jackbooted thug of a Sheriff, he even had his deputies on steroids (no fucking lie, honest to God)!

A lot of cops do steroids. I had a friend who supplied an an entire city force in Ct with steroids. Probably why they are so aggressive

@Gandalf it is not up to you or the public to "adjudicate-on-the-spot" if they are doing anything wrong or not and then therefore give themselves the right to not comply with an officer's demands. YOu going on like you are the judge and jury combines, or you saying that that man who was stopped has the right to deem himself judge and jury and can therefore say FUCK OFF FUCK YOU to the cops demands, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS NUTS.

BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE SAYING BUT YOU FAIL TO SEE IT OR ADDRESS IT.
