Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
Any chance to see Floyd perform again is a good thing.
Floyd has given everything to the sport and this fight makes financial sense and the cherry on the top of a massive cake.
(Cue the cherry picking posts)
I would rather watch this fight than Canelo vs Chavez again.
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
Arguably the greatest defensive fighter there's ever been against a guy who's never boxed before. Ace or what

And James Toneys reward for taking all that punishment?
He now speaks a different language with no money in the bank.
James Toney is a great fighter but Floyd is on a different level.
Are you saying that if you were in Floyds position and had a 100million payday on offer you wouldn't take it?!
"No, It's disrespectful to boxing!"
Come on Gandalf!
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
100 million dollars each?
just shows that the boxing world makes its money from the general public rather than the boxing fan
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
I just can not believe this is happening.
I am shocked and surprised as Primo (and Batman) must be. :)
What a complete wanker Floyd is. I hope McGregor starts to get dirty with him and roughs him up MMA style and gets disqualified.
Hope the fight bombs.
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
Well now it's a reality i'll certainly watch it, you guys saying you wont aren't kidding anyone, 95% of you ponce shitty streams, you wont buy GGG-Canelo either, so why is this any different?
Also if Badou Jack-Nathan Cleverly, Young Davis-vs-???? etc make up the undercard it will be a good event for proper boxing nerds regardless of the silly exhibition.
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
How much do you think they will charge? $100?

No, I wouldn't take it. I would think myself fortunate to have got away with mugging the public off as much as I had already and quit while I was ahead. There is only so much money you need. Floyd is rich because people are idiots and make excuses for him all the time. It's a meaningless fight and people should boycott. Not even worth a choppy illegal stream. Nothing.

I don't kid around on such matters. Floyd is boycotted. GGG-Canelo will be on TV and I will love every minute. I refuse to endorse Floyd though. It is nonsense. Fighters should boycott the undercard too. The ring girls should boycott. If Walrus loves me he will boycott. Even Israel will boycott it. Enough with the Mayweather trickery.
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
Can't see them charging more than standard in the UK - I say this on the presumption that the average joe public guy hasn't really heard of Mcgregor (Ireland aside of course) ?!?
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
Irony = Ward v Kovalev is free on Sky Sports, but Mayweather v McGregor will be PPV.
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
Hopefully this will be the only time I'm gonna post about this ludicrous matchup. Anybody who takes this shit seriously is a fucking dopey, thick, fucking mug, who knows or cares fuck all about boxing.
And anyone who actually talks about it therefore giving it air time and interest is fucking stupid.
Oscar is a fucking wanker, no two ways about that, but he had one thing right. The whole Boxing World should boycott this stupid load of bollocks.
However , the reason he can't be taken seriously is because he offered MacGregor the option of fighting Canelo! Wanker!
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
To be fair miles you're not really part of the boxing nerd demographic, you watch about three fights a year. Whilst you and your ilk are sulking with your boycotts millions of people will be enjoying themselves with the show.
All i'm saying is - for all the moans and groans about this silly mismatch watch the traffic it gets, the interest on here alone will smash the living daylights out of Golovkin-Canelo let alone any other top boxing fight.
Re: Mayweather vs McGregor official
When you think about it this is great for boxing
First of it's a "Boxing" match under the queensbury rules and will have a Boxing undercard so Floyd can showcase his fighters (Gervonta Davis becomes an overnight Megastar)
Everything about this has Floyd/Boxing as the "A Side" and will draw MASSIVE PPV buys, it'll break all records with ease.
It's been confirmed that it's at 154lbs with 10 oz Gloves and is a total miss match that Floyd could win with one arm.
Anthony Joshua asked/begged Floyd to be on the card a few months ago, wonder if there's anyway that could be made a reality?
