I would be glad to see Floyd's record broken so quickly.
Is Wilder even PPV in the states?
No and he isnt a big attraction either, that is why he usually fights in alabama. Wilder v Josua certainly won't break any ppv records in america, maybe britain, it is possible it wouldn't even be on ppv, boxing popularity is certainly on the slide in north america, i dont think wilder will ever be a ppv star in america unless he wins all four belts and even then......
Re: Before Wilder/Joshua...
Wilder isn't that big of a name. If he beats Ortiz next then there is no reason to wait anymore. I just doubt that Wilder is getting anymore popular than he is without beating AJ.
On the flip side, AJ is popular over in the U.K. but I believe that he won't hit superstardom without beating Wilder and proving without a doubt that he is the best HW in the world.
Re: Before Wilder/Joshua...
If AJ & Wilder come through victorious in their next fights then it should be a sell out in the UK. Parker is the odd man out here but might sneak in 1st.

This is why you aren't supposed to eat paint chips
Re: Before Wilder/Joshua...
Any fans peddling the "it needs to marinate" line deserves to be shot. Fact. It's nothing but bullshit promoter spiel.
Why the fuck do you care about how much money the fighters make? One million not enough? 5 million? 10 million? Who cares whether it breaks PPV records? Who cares whether or not "casual" fans are interested? That's what Floyd-McGregor was all about, for fucks sake.
Joshua can sell out any stadium in Britain against ANYONE on the planet (70,000 Pulev tickets sold in ONE DAY). He's doing over a million UK PPV. HBO and Showtime are tripping over themselves competing for his services. (only Canelo can match the current dough Joshua generates and that's with Vegas behind him).
There's not a shred of evidence in the history of boxing that MORE MONEY equates to BETTER FIGHT.
Re: Before Wilder/Joshua...
$1.5million covered the ENTIRE. Repeat. ENTIRE purses for the Superfly card last week.
Choco/Inoue/ThaiwangSri/Estrada/Cuadras/Viloria etc - just over a million bucks.
And you casual fan muppets want to give millionaires that already get paid fortunes excuses to not make fights. Unreal.
Re: Before Wilder/Joshua...
Yeah marinating is sh-t, building towards a fight though I can understand. Aj/ Pulev winner vs Wilder/ Ortiz winner makes for a good fight. Or the current Cruiser and Super Middle tournaments that will lead to the last 2 (4) fighting leads to hopefully an exciting anticipated match up. Thing with the tournaments tho is we know we will get the winners fighting (barring injuries). With marinating there's no real guarantee.
Re: Before Wilder/Joshua...
I must be slower than initially informed..is this fight made???. Wilder needs AJ more if honest and would love to see him drop his trinket in the garbage and pursue AJ aka a challenge instead of moaning, rightfully so, about Stiverne mandatory. Best vs best shocker I know. But that's his market tag but I get the feel it's all passing him by. Joshua has the options and frankly isn't fighting late replacements in some Alabama sports arena.

Yeah a big difference. Dopey fans constantly complain about the sport yet peddle out every promoter/fighter excuse in the book to prevent the best fights being made.
The notion that millionaire "world" champions are not ready to face their fellow millionaire "world" champions is beyond MORONIC.
Fighters fight.
Promoters sell.
Hardcore/nerds want the best possible fights.
And casual fans are obsessed with money, bling and PPV.

@Master why are you editing my posts?
To be fair I dunno what you have changed but it says that you have changed something.
Explain yourself immediately or face the consequences
Re: Before Wilder/Joshua...
Wilder is turning into a Bowe style champion , lazy and easy fights.
We all just want to see the best fight the best.

That’s what I thought. Every time I see Wilder fight he is fighting in Alabama or somewhere that isn’t really known for Boxing (not Vegas or the Garden) It’s strange that America have an unbeaten heavyweight champion and nobody gives a fuck about him. I actually like Wilder and there’s no fight I’d rather see happen than him against AJ. It’ll break PPV records over here but it won’t knock Mayweather off the top in America.

They should fight as soon as possible because if the fights good we could always see a rematch. These guys wait too long before fighting each other and that takes away the possibility of them fighting multiple times. Parker isn’t a factor for me, I think Povetkin and Ortiz would both stop him.
