I lean ever so slightly to Hearns in this one, but can see Roy breaking through with a hard counter and winning the fight.
I see Hearns right hand landing Glenn Johnson style.
The Jones that struggled with Tarver and Johnson was not a prime Jones. The harding fight I'd hardly call a struggle just because he didn't obliterate him the way he did others. It was a mismatch by any other fighters standards, only a "struggle" when compared to Roys performances.
As much as I like the hitman, a Prime Roy Jones knocks Tommy out. No doubt about it. He was way too fast, way to strong to fight welterweights. And personally, idk that too many boxers in history beat a prime jones, especially anyone under 175. Even if we "adjust" the attributes, Tommy gets slower, and isn't landing that right at all, Roy on the other hand was fast all the way up to 175. Arguably hit way harder too, especially because he had power in every punch.

If it was 15 rounds does this make it more in Jones favour?
Jr as he would be the naturally the bigger man but I never seen Hearns being outboxed a difficult PICK.!:)

That is all true but p4p Hearns is probably the better fighter.

If they fought in the real world from middle-to-lightheavy I strongly favour Roy to sparko Hearns. I can envisage the right hand counter or leaping left hook that dumps Hearns on his arse. It would've looked like Roy-Hall, except Hearns doesn't get out the round.
