Re: Just rewatched Pacquaio-JMM 1
Alot of Pac-man fans I guess in here anyway.I just can't see what all or your have so called seen out of Pacman these last few outings.Being dropped dosen't mean a damn thing unless you stay down.Marquez got knocked down three times and got right back up.That shows one thing
HEART.Something that really hasn't been tested on Pacquiao do too his blazing fists.I am not putting Pac-man down I just don't know about his desire and determination in his last few.It seems he has a step or two where Marquez has looked excellent recently. If you point to Marquez being knocked down against Barrera I say look at the fight again and you can plainly see Barrera was never even in the fight. Were in the Pacquiao fight it wasn't until the championship rounds we seen who won.
Again the master counter-puncher Marquez in 10.

? I agree that Marquez clearly beat Barrera, didn't understand all the people who thought Barrera won but Pacquaio clearly handled Barrera, if anything easier than Marquez did. That fight was not won by Pacquaio in the championship rounds, he clearly won.
Anyway I'll go with Pac, he's improved more, added a right hand and bodywork to the guy who only threw right jabs and left hands against Marquez first time out. Marquez is still a great fighter but he's been getting hit more lately. Maybe that's only because he's been more offensive and he'll go back to a more defensive style against Pac but I'll still go with Pac.

"Marquez cuz he is sooooo much better than Pac". Okay dude, whatever. Just don't forget our bet (name change - e.g. "Owned By Pacstraightleft"). ;)
Same with you ICB (50 rep/cc).

Diaz did call out pac, thats true but what kind of fighter calls out a guy beow his weigt class and his fighting at a weight division he was once above? Diaz will get his fat ass whoop by pac one day he can wait his turn. Who else has called out pac other then diaz? Valero? he did call out pac a few times but always pull out and later make statements him or his camp about not being ready for pac. What else young fighter is there? Tell me game, grant us your boxing wisdom and elaborate further with your statements.
AHAHAHAHA JMM ten years ago???? you didn't even know jmm ten years ago, ten years ago he would get knock the fuck out by raw 4 years ago pac that he fought the first time.
Strategically???? here:
Jab, Jab, Left Staight, right hook follow up....
body movements....boom right hook counter, down goes marquez.
Speed, speed, power, stamina, size. All in favor of pac!!!!!!!!!
What does jmm have on his side? boxing skills? well we'll see how good he is against true prime pacman.
Can you answer this question game....Do you think pac was prime the first time they fought? JMM sure was.
LEts have a name changing bet men, since you don't have much rep around here I won't even bother so lets just have a name changin bet. Loser(you) will have to bare whatever winner choose for you to have. Put your ass where your mouth is.

Re: Just rewatched Pacquaio-JMM 1
Pacquaio has to have some of the most annoying fans in any sport. All I've seen in this thread is his nut huggers shoot down anyone who attempts to offer any reason that he won't dominate the fight.. I agree with Taeth on the original premise, that Pac did a lot better in the championship rounds than people tend to say he did.. It's not as though he caught him coming in cold and then after Marquez whethered the storm it was smooth sailing. However he did catch him him cold, it's not as if Marquez isn't capable of weathering Pacqiao's assault. If Marquez saves himself from early punishment and looks to fight smart there's no reason to think he can't win this fight. Saying Marquez is past his best is a pre-packaged excuse from the anti-Pac brigade huh? Or maybe if he isn't at his best, it's because Pac beat his prime right out of him. If he had just got some gel insoles for his shoes Marquez wouldn't even be fighting today, huh? Why the hell even bother to post when you aren't able to entertain another point of view... I haven't heard one of his fans on here break down the fight or explain why Pac will win, other than that he is now supposedly in his prime while Marquez is past his best. But if someone who isn't in love with Pac brings that up, it's an excuse? So lame.

First, Pacquaio's team did not wait for JMM to age. It was JMM who did not accept the rematch after their first fight.JMM opted for Chris John so PAcquaio had to look for more worthy opponents(in terms of financial reward and prestige).Nor has JMM shown any interest of fighting Pacquaio again not until recently. When JMM challenged Pacquaio, it was immediately accepted by Pacquaio after JMM conceded to accept the terms of PAcquaio which was actually very reasonable (hope you know what it was coz it was as if you know everything in boxing, though in truth you had no idea of what you were talking).
You were talking of Soto and Guzman as better opponents for Pacquaio................. are you serious? They are good boxers, no doubt about it, but JMM is still the best opponent PAcquaio could have for now.
No doubt Juan Diaz is also a good choice for Pacquaio but the boxing world's clamor was for PAcquaio to fight JMM first. Can you blame Pacquaio or his team for being gracious about it?
Second, who are you calling a UK midget with little overrated skills? Hatton's first defeat was from the P4P #1. Does that defeat make him overrated? Tell that to all the respected members in this forum and they will tell you that you lack some boxing knowledge despite of your being addicted to it.....;D
Peace man.
Unless you sat in on the negotiations in person or have recordings your rhetoric is no more speculation than mine. So stop acting as though you are the IT in here. If you read Manila press the blame is on JMM. If you read Mexico city press and it was Pac's fault. Pac is the bigger draw no doubt but JMM is and was the champ then. Up until recent times the champ had the larger draw. There is no shame in wanting the larger purse and respect. I hope JMM wins for this reason alone to make PAC have to wait for a third fight and accept the lower purse. But I really want to see Pac vs Diaz and see how he fares against an extremely offensive and accurate puncher. To see what happens when Pac's foe has as much energy and does not buckle from one of his punches. JMM is unfinished business but it is also business too late. JMM fans will argue he is too late after his loss. ? Just waiting for Pac to have a fight where no doubt exist before a fight. Then he will have my and the haters full attention..
PS.. I am not a JMM or MAB fanatic, no unwarranted references to them is required.

hahaha. try to read the post of those who said that MArquez is past his best. It's GAME saying that and all other pac-haters. Truth is, we were entertaining the point of view of members here who talks with sense but there are just some people who hates Pacquaio and can't listen to reason and explanation....... they are those who claim that we don't explain why Pac would win.
Anyway, as a responsible poster in this forum, I'd like to illuminate you the reasons why Pac will win.
1. Pac has greatly improved. From a one-dimensional fighter, he is becoming all around. Watch how he fought MAB. Do I need to explain that had MAB engaged in an all-out duel with PAcquaio, he would have been KOed early.
2. Pacquiao is faster and stronger than JMM. It's obvious. No need to explain.
3. Pacquaio like Marquez has a big heart. No question about his courage.
4. Regarding skills, he has just won over MAB who was considered to be very skillful.I would rather say, won easily over a very skilled fighter. As you know, skills don't easily get old.
Do I need to add more?;D

Case settled.;D Wait until Pacquaio fights Diaz. For the moment, stop making accusations without basis.
It's not like PAcquaio fighting Diaz by just pushing your whimsical button. Big fights need to be negotiated. JMM came first and Diaz can wait. Had PAcquaio opted for Diaz then people would be saying that he ducked JMM. Can you understand what I'm saying?

Gee talk about Disneyland (Fantasyland) like fanatics, the EM1 fight was a tough fight but PAC was never in severe danger of being Ko'd. In addition EM was never a power puncher. The head but was also not that severe dreamer. Pac started too late or he would have won that fight too ... Learn the definition of not having ones' heart tested vs tough. Heart tested perfect example see the Pac vs JMM fight. When has Pac had to get up off the canvas, had face brutalized or found himself too far behind on the scorecards and rallied to pull out a fight?
Bruce Bruce Bruce so smart yet so blindly in Love (with Pac)

Nice post Bruce I agree with all but line 1. Pac was not inspired to fight because MAB gave no effort. There was no boxing domination there was a Bull Dog vs a pussy (MAB) MAB was a disgrace and I think Pac let him ride off upright. But boxing domination, sorry no can do!

Headbutt not severe dreamer? what do you mean by that? AS far as I know (coz I have watched the fight), the cut was so bad that PAcquaio had to bathe in blood all throughout the fight. Watch again their fight.

I'll give you a description (not definition)of having a heart......It's fighting all the way although you know that you may not be able to win that fight. What is wrong with Diaz calling out Pac? As if Pac bowling over lesser weight fighters moving up to challenge Pac was ok? ( Larios and Solis) This this type of hypocrisy is what makes people hate Pac fans and disrepect the accomplishments of Pac. It is ok for Pac, but not others !!!! Pac fanatics would have you believe Phillipine boxing rumors are more ligitimate than those of Latin America or any other circles .... It's crazy man ..........

I'll buy that to a point. However injury takes on a completely different meaning when the damage you have received is not inflicted by your opponents fistic ability. Pacs power advantage and endorphins willed him on. Mentaly you know you just need to find the right moment when you know you out gun your opponent . As opposed to knowing or feeling what Pacs opponents have had to feel ---- "'FEAR'" !! Hardly ranks as a huge test of adversity to most.
I do not love or dislike Pac as my wife is Pinay..........

You don't know how Pac felt during that time. With your eyes closing because of a cut, would you also not feel some fear knowing you have no chance of winning coz you're fighting a very skilled boxer?
nah, this discussion is going nowhere.
as to your accusations, let me remind you of one accusation( among the many accusations) you made.
What you say has not merit as to what happens in the ring. In two weeks I will not be foolish waiting 4 years for a man to age is great strategy on PAC teams behalf. JMM is really good but many PAC fans have already mention how slow and flt footed JMM has looked recently. So Kudos to the Geriatric Assassin. Bring on Soto, Juan Diaz and Guman and lower the age requirements. Pac should win this fight, I just anxious to see if JMM can muster up one last effort. More interested in A Pac vs Baby Bull match or a sibling revenge fight with Soto. Not a circus match against a UK midget with little over rated skills.

And of course, 'no circus match against the UK 'little giant.' Oh, ya I almost forgot, pac's good at making prime fighters turn old overnight.;D;)
Strictly speaking from physical abilities from being younger with less mileage: 2 traits Pacs recent opponents seem to lack. MAB 1 and JMM1 were the only instances. Outside of that Pac has administered Rx's to old geezers. JMM & MAB are 34, EM is 32. Both EM and MAB had many wars prior to Pac. JMM 1 was entertaining but that was 4 years ago. How can you say that these guys are not old? The numbers are factual age does not lie !!

Well Pac-man after the first Morales fight did show some heart but not much he really did go for he kill what he is good for.He was happy to try and box Morales. It's seems when someone gives him a bit of trouble he is happy with trying to box and not for the kill.Another thing I don't like is his attitude when he lost to Morales he moreso than Roach complained about "how the boxing gloves were not gloves but pillows" all I can say is WAH!! . At the end of the Marquez fight he complained about "foot blisters"and how it hampered his movement. All I can say is look at Holmes vs Cooney.Larry Holmes had nothing but blood in his shoes from blisters and still got a big victory probably his biggest and heart. Can we say that from what we've seen from Pacquiao.I am not putting Pac-man down I like him but when tested I've found his heart isn't were it should be.

Re: Just rewatched Pacquaio-JMM 1
i think that the first match between them could have gone either way(coin toss).PAC came out very strong and continued even though he was adjusting himself as well as JMM after the first round.
This match it gonna be great. PAC is gonna show what he is capable of. He's gonna look at the video tape and see open areas which he can exploit and use to his advantage. PAC is too agile too fast and he never drops momentum whether he is getting hit or not. He always stays active which i think it's gonna be too much for JMM to handle. Maybe JMM should of taken the rematch right after the first one but he took too long and his time is up. JMM will put up a fight because he is great with his counter punches also he is going to look at video tapes and see how to adjust himself but i still believe PAC is going to be too fast for him.
PAC wins unanimous dicision.................IMO!

You mean ate Glo's gonna knock 'em all out, again?!! Not very surprising anymore, though. You know, I don't care much about her - she's so emotionless, naw, heartless - but what I don't like is the usual people (you know who) who are manipulating all those things. They brought Lozada right before edsa days, and now they brought in a new witness who says he supposedly has a direct knowledge of Ate receiving 20 million $s - he was probably brought in to give the final punch for their new people power plan this friday. But unfortunately for them, unlike Lozada, the new witness was obviously made to tell a lie and even some of the senators doubt him. If it weren't for them, and maybe also pac;D, I'd be joining the rally myself. But have to admit sometimes I can't resist myself being impressed by this little 'angel' of a lady who's really tough and all those barakos can't kick her out...
By the way, I like your new avatar. Using an image of some dubious political character heh. Gaya gaya puto maya!;D;):D

Bruce and Addicted to ..., can't believe you guys engaging in such a serious debate. If there still were those cc's I'd given you guyz each. I'm not much that serious here, just fooling around most of the time - trying to scare off some kids here with some of my 'bluffings' and having a hearty laff after that, haha. Well anywayz, my hats off for the two of you, and I'll also include Game here, for your intense passion when you guys discuss boxing. You guyz put the Clintons and Obama to shame.:)

Then in the 7th or 8th Pacquaio starts boxing more and the fight is pretty even but Pacquaio has a slight edge until the end. Personally I have pacquaio winning by a round, but it could easily be a draw because one round he landed thebetter shots but JMM landed more punches.
That being the said the one thing that caused Pacqaio the most problems besides the fact JMM is a great boxer is that Marquez really used slick movement to avoid Pac's assault... It was some of the best footwork I've seen, and reminded me of Hopkins against Trinidad or Tarver, JMM was always on his balance point and he was always quick to retaliate, but now he is much more flat footed which means he will be far easier for Pac to hit, and he has slowed down much more than Pacquaio.
BRO BUT THIS TIME MANNY IS DIFFERENT HIS TWO FISTED NOW I THINK MANNY WILL WIN THIS ONE BUT CLOSE

Are you talking about the baby or the first "ZTE crook" gentleman in his avatar? ;D
BTW, who's that in your avatar if it's not you? Does he have something to do with your life of Pacquiao's? Hmm.. You got me wondering now bro.

Ah so you were not here last year during the elections. The guy is a congressman who ran for senator who came up with a wacky comercial with a punchline, itanim si pichay (that's his name) sa senado. We just call him pechay here. Nope, no relation to pac whatsoever.

My grandmother (my mom's mom) is one of Fidel V. Ramos' first cousin. I was born and raised where Ramos grew up. He is a Westpoint grad, a snitch, but a good snitch though.
