I think the Hornets are going to destroy the Mavs this series.
incredible first day of the playoffs already we see Drama and awesome team effort
I fucking hate the Spurs. How in the fuck Kurt Thomas didn't foul out by the end of the first half is beyond me, I cannot stand floppers and the announcers who kiss up to them because they do "whatever it takes to win."
For a while I was having a hard time deciding who was the biggest whiner in basketball between Duncan and Kobe but hands down its Duncan. Whine, cry, whine, cry.
If you can't tell I don't like the Spurs :D
Fuck the Spurs.
Hopefully they all get involved in some kind of scandal and be forced to work at IHOP the rest of their lives.
Fucking Tim Duncan whining about having to refill somebody's coffee. Waaah:eek:
The Nuggets just fell apart there late in the game.
They actually played well but couldn't keep it together.
Kobe had a shitty game but that goes without saying that Lamar & Pau had really good games. The had 33 Assists... That's insane man.
The Celtics just started now looks to me like this series heres gonna end fast.
LOL the Pistons loss;D
I told you guys I see Boston vs Orlando
Haywood's foul on Lebron was bad, you can't have star players getting pushed like that especially in such an awkward position and Haywood wasn't going for the ball. He was tired and didn't even try to go up over the ball and it's not like it was chests' bumping, Lebron got pushed. I wasn't to worried for the Cavs, they are definitely lookling like one of the teams to beat. It might be a deeper East then expected.
The Jazz look great though. I think they're the best team out west and I think they take these next 2 versus the Rockets and the series with the Lakers are great.
the flopping in the NBA is totally out of control. Its embarrassing.
And its hilarious how a guy will get absolutely raked going up for a shot and announcers will say something about "this is playoff basketball, you're not gonna get those calls in the playoffs" and then the next time down some official falls for a pathetically obvious flop job and calls a charge. Its pathetic. I used to never criticize officials because I always took the side that they had a really hard job to do and they're not going to get anything right but its just gotten out of hand, they're totally incompetent for the most part.
I expect the Lake Show to roll allover Denver today.
Celtics up right now, 3rd qtr.
Suns just can't seem to do it, the Spurs just flat out beat them the other night, they didn't even flop around that much. Ginobili and Parker are just unguardable, at least for the Suns.
LA-Denver's just kind of eh. Denver just doesn't play defense, probably a 4-1 series. Its time to get over Denver. I remember Steven A. Smith picking them in the preseason to win it all. Really?
Would love to see Celtics-Lakers...
Just like back in the days.
The days of Magic, Kareem & Byrd, Parish.
My fav. commercial out right now. ;D
This shit makes me laugh.
"With a Philly Cheesestake Sandwhich...." :lolhaha:

DeShaun Stevenson is such a tool. First of all, he's an idiot for saying Lebron is overrated especially when Stevenson is nothing more then a role player with an attitude. It was great when Damon Jones did his stupid little dumb out move.
I think Cavs win this game. Some cleaner execution and this is a close game. Stevenson gets bumped off the ball at will by Lebron and I think without Arenas the Cavs are going to handle this.
:D :D :D :D :D

How gutted must the Magic be, that was a brutal loss. I thought they had it put away when Hedo drained those 3's.
I can't believe Van Gundy would elect for one shot against Tayshaun Prince one of the best defenders in the league. I thought they should have put on a high screen for Lewis and let him drive have Hedo to kick out to and Howard underneath for a possible second shot. That worked for them all game and then they put Hedo at the top and have him hold the ball until 4 seconds? One shot? They needed to lengthen that game not shorten it. That's a bad coaching decision from a very good coach, that's the wrong time for a heat check.
Celtics shutting down Lebron in these two games has been very shocking. They are blaming it on the double teams but that's ridiculous because Lebron is doubled everytime he plays, he beat a lot better defense in Detroit while being triple teamed. I'm very surprised and something hasn't been right these playoffs for him. He seems to be a lot more emotional now and he gets knocked off his gameplan. Make no mistake about it, Washington got into his head not by their stupid words and Deshaun Stevenson but by fouling him and playing him physical and that's what the C's are doing to.
Also, I've never seen Lebron do this much complaining. Lebron has a lot to prove these 2 games imo. He has to absolutely take this series over the way he did in Detroit last year and this series could dictate the way the Eastern conference goes for the next few years. The Cavs won the Eastern Conference last year and simply aren't being picked, they didn't get any real respect from the league. If they beat Detroit and Boston in consecutive years then they will get that respect and could become the type of force that Detroit has been for the past few years. If the Celtics get ousted in the second round against what most believe is an inferior Cavs team then they are in trouble and under a lot of pressure because New England can't take another fizzled post season. They need this.I think the Cavs are going to take these two at home and this is going to be a great series.
The Spurs are done the Hornets look better then I ever thought they were and Chris Paul might be the most exciting player in the NBA. That's a great team like I said earlier in this thread they remind me of the Nets from a few years ago but they run up and down the court more and play at a faster pace.
The Jazz have to pick up there feet if they want to win, they looked incredibly sluggish and slow of foot in LA. There is NO WAY that Lamar Odom should ever shut down Carlos Boozer and that's what happened. Boozer is a dominant big man and has some of the best footwork for anyone that plays in the paint. He was sluggish and foul happy in games 1 and 2 and that's what lost them those games. They need to repeat their excellent game 3 performance in game 4 and then find a way to get that spring in their step in LA or they have no shot. They are playing terrible on the road these playoffs.
I found this, the best flop we've seen these players. Who knew Oberto had such power in that shoulder?

The Spurs deserve it, Kurt Thomas is the Vice President of Bullshit and Tim Duncan whines like a 15 year old. I've never had a harder time respecting a great player, acts like a spoiled child.
The President of Bullshit...

YouTube - Kirilenko's Grand Flop
I have a hard time believing his jersey doesn't say San Antonio on the front. Truly an embarrassment to sports.
That first call in game 2 I think it was was an absolute joke, that was a good game ruined by a terrible flop and an even worse call. Paul's flop was funny, Kirilenko's is just infuriating.
I'm very shocked and a bit put off that the Hornets look this flat and unorganized. Then can't impose themselves on the defensive end and on offense they just aren't moving enough.
Popavich made the move to put Bowen on Peja who's a spot shooter. That should have opened up the lanes as the Hornets have worked off the ball better then any team in the league. They just aren't aggressive off the ball tonight and most of what they are doing is just spotting up on the perimeter while Paul or Pargo drive.
Chandler needs to be more aggressive on the boards and away from the ball, Mo Petereson has to needs to be cutting towards the hoop. They just need more movement, there is to much standing around. They need to make the Spurs pay for for helping out so much on Paul inside and the way to do that is movement. Very upset and now even in the 3rd quarter, it's still just 3 guys standing at the perimeter and Peja inside while Paul drives. That's a joke. What a flop the Hornets have been this game, I really thought they had the Spurs on their heels and on Tommy Morrison'd on the ropes. Now unless something dramatic happens which it won't with Pargo shooting a 3 every time down, this is a new series and that sucks.
Fuck the Spurs.
:furious2: Awe Fucking A man.I don't pretend to know jackshit about Basketball But I motherf!!!!g understand and recongnize CHOKE in any sport when I see It.....Come on Guys, get it together and reach down and make sure your 'set' is still where it should be.This city needs you ,Im tired of seeing a loser mentality....in sports and in politics around her...FOCUS AND FIGHT ....http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/3342/angryxo4.gifThat somber look on the bench drives me insane. My loyalty in life is as firm as my footing but I dont do well with 'ho-hum,whatever' attitudes.....SHITTT.Come on Hornets,,,,,
Well as long as the Hornets win at home they've got it but I worry about them in the seventh game even though its at home.
Why do I have a bad feeling that, after this great season, were going to get a vomit in your own mouth type of finals like Spurs-Pistons. Stern should act now, start randomly suspending Spurs and Pistons players. And shoot Andrei Kirilenko in the knee.
No kidding that would be an absolute nightmare, of the 8 teams in the playoffs those are the two that just can not make the finals. No way that would be like a bad joke. Tease us with Boston-LA, Lebron, Paul and then give us like you said the worst possible matchup.
To be fair I think it was just an off night for the Hornets and I still think they close it in 6.
amat,
I think this is the greatest thing that's happened in the play offs thus far...
FUCKEN BRILLIANT!!! :D
Momma LeBron was ready to sock Paul, you can see her cuff her fist. :D

Chris Paul on the Hornets is sick, did you see that Jordanesque shot he made in game 3? I haven't seen the Hornets play L.A. this season, I wonder how that would look, two bright yellow uniforms, that would be just ugly.
I actually love the yellow jerseys Orange ball, tan floor, orange rim with all these different multicolored ads, basketball is a flashy colored sport. And the teams who wear yellow these days are the more flashy teams. This season the Pacers, Warriors, Hawks, Hornets and Lakers were all teams with some sizzle of them and all great teams to watch on TV. And if anyone laughs at the Pacers, they were a very exciting team, not that good but they played like the Hawks and Warriors as they ran up and down the floor a lot and shot lots of 3s they were a very up tempo team.
That was great and Lebron's comment about how he is lucky it wasn't Mother's Day was to. That's a great series unfortunately I had to miss that game and TNT doesn't replay it at night. I considered looking for it online but didn't find it worth the hassle as I was ready for sleep anyways.
It's a shame Orlando lost that game 4, this had the potential to be a great series with Detroit. They are so evenly matched once Billups is out of the equation and they have a bit of a big three like Detroit's big 3 with Billups out. It's to bad although if the Magic win this game 5 then it becomes at least interesting again but I really doubt they can win now.
At first I was like, whos that lady KG was holding back....it turned out it was bron brons mom mom. He was screaming to her to stay at her sit i guess. I think the wrath up by pual was fine but bron threw an elbow there so if that had escalated i would think it be lebrons fault.
CAN ANYBODY WIN A DAMN ROAD GAME, Its boring the hell out of me knowing the home team will just win like usual this year.
LMAO!!!
Normally, I wouldn't care for a son yelling at his mom like that, but frickin LeBron's moms is the most obnoxious biatch!!! Everyone that has to sit by this woman at the games, constantly complain about her.
So in this case, Go LeBron!!!! Tell your mom to sit her ass down more often!!
:domo-kun:http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/1892/shotgun5lu8.gif Haa...Tim Duncan is the Spurs Antonio tarver :-X
Hornets taking names .SOOO far.Making me an NBA fan ;D
MAN...this game is what you call getting Crushed.Im NBA 'special' but ...dem boy's beat the Spurs DOWN....Fuking right! Game 6 for it all
Game 4 they just came out flat even though they got a couple buckets early. Tonight they went scoreless for the first few minutes but you could tell it wasn't going to be a blowout. They played with energy. A lot of the Hornets' success this year came in transition. In game 4 the Spurs really succeeded in running the court and while it's really hard to beat the Spurs back, it's easy to slack off in transition and the Spurs took advantage of that.
Tonight they got back and had some success of their own because Paul is about as good as you are ever going to see at running the court. He is unbelievable, he has a 360 degree sense of the court, he not only knows who's on the wings or who's in front of him but he has this uncanny sense of knowing who's behind him. He draws them in close then kicks it behind them to a shooter. It's amazing and you couple that with a 5th gear of speed once he gets inside the key and some of the best finishing ability in the league, it's incredible. I'm big on point guards and Chris Paul is the most talented point guard I have ever seen aside from Magic of course who wasn't a true point guard really. I have little doubt he's going down as one of the greatest of all time at that position. He plays with another level of skill, he is truly
They imposed themselves on defense and that's where they won the game. I liked how they didn't automatically double Duncan and let him pick them apart passing. They were more controlled and waited until he put the ball on the floor or faced up to the basket to send the extra defender. That really made the difference and Chandler played excellent. Good rotations all around and they didn't let Ginobli and Parker drive the lanes without getting sent to the floor. I don't get why more teams aren't physical with the Spurs. There is no reason two small guards should be able to punch you in the mouth on such a consistent basis. Get physical with them and make them think about driving the lanes and you don't have a problem. The game was really won on the defensive end the Spurs never found a rhythm.
And having David West blow up like that and just shoot lights out it's going to be hard for any team to defend that and of course Chris Paul is Chris Ball and he penetrated inside this game and that is really what opens up the offense. You know the Hornets are good when they are hitting alley oops and I think they had 3 tonight.
Also, I hate the Pistons but Tayshaun Prince has to be by far the most underrated player in the NBA. I can't think of anyone else who is close. He has really blown me away this series and that block against Hedo was an instant classic and that really closed the game and the Magic's season.
