For Diane, evidence of my Sam is a dog/werewolf theory
Ok I've just finished rewatching the second episode again and have taken a snapshot of the picture in Sam's office.
This is near the end of the episode at 49.46.
The setting is he has called Suki into his office to ask her if she can read the vampires thoughts and she tells him she can't and that she feels so peaceful around him because of it.
Anyway Sam says she should read his thoughts sometimes because she might like what she hears but she declines.
Then after she leaves the screen pans to the picture on the wall.

http://img412.imageshack.us/my.php?i...1782063ff4.png
It's clearly alluding to Suki being watched over by that dog in the courtyard and the fact that Terra says that Sam barks in his sleep MUST mean he's the dog, or at least turns into a dog or can communicate with dogs etc.
Is he Suki's supernatural guardian? Is he a werewolf? Is he good or evil?
All I know is he definitely ain't human :detective:
Loving this show by the way! Episode 3 again next ;D

Re: For Diane, evidence of my Sam is a dog/werewolf theory
Yes, that does look like the dog.
Maybe Sam just knows the mystery of that dog?
Or maybe, he is one, but just not the one we keep seeing?
Damn it, you're going to get me into LOST mode with this shit. ;D
I have all 4 episodes on my dvr, now I'm going to have to rewatch, and look for all the little details, that I wasn't looking at before. :p
You should have put this in the other thread, so we can keep all of this together, for future reference. ;)
Now I know what I'll be doing this weekend. ;D

Re: For Diane, evidence of my Sam is a dog/werewolf theory
I'm going to watch the 1st two right now. Hope this is good. Any hotties?;D
-
Re: For Diane, evidence of my Sam is a dog/werewolf theory
Hopefully a mod will merge them, lets face it over half the people on here are now mods so one of them will do it
I just wanted to get your immediate attention so that I could see your response.
You were right about Suki baing able to read Sams mind, she reads it in the first episode.
I cant remember if Sam is seen with the dog yet, I've just watched the first two episodes tonight and am going to watch the third again now. It's 5 am here :-\
I forecast a big showdown between Sam and Bill later on, and I DEFINITELY think werewolf's will be making an appearance later in the series!
There must be some significance to this.
I also reckon Suki's gran has got some skeletons hidden in her closet. She's a bit strange, I reckon she might have fucked a vampire or other supernatural years ago which may be why Suki has that telepathic gift.
I wonder if Sam is actually a vampire hunter?
-
Re: For Diane, evidence of my Sam is a dog/werewolf theory
Well in episode 4 you will hear a little bit more about Suki's power, and how she may have gotten it.
You're obsessed with this show now, aren't you? ;D
I told you that you would like it. ;)
-
Re: For Diane, evidence of my Sam is a dog/werewolf theory
Yeah I'm going to stay up and watch all 4 now.
I have to get to the bottom of the Sam mystery.
It seems to me that with his foppy hair, straggly beard and lumberjack style jackets he even looks a little like the dog when he's in human form.
They are blatently trying to tease us with a connection.
I still don't know who the girl was who helped Suki fight off that nutter couple though, the one who wrapped the chain around that guys neck :thinking2:
-
Re: For Diane, evidence of my Sam is a dog/werewolf theory
I agree with Bilbo like in the second episode or so I called my bud and was like that sam guys a dog or werewolf or something. Did ya'll see in the fourth episode he goes to that house and starts sniffing the sheets, I mean if he isn't a werewolf he's a messed up individual. Love the show

Well we've got our eyes on him now
I'mn hoping he's a guardian angel of Suki rather than turns out to be evil though
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Ok I've watched the 4th episode now, definitely a weird ending. So are we supposed to think Sam is the killer of these two women?
He had a photo of him and the sexy bargirl together in the bar so clearly some kind of prior relationship indicated.
I don't think he's evil though, as he wouldn't want Suki to read his thoughts.
Maybe this was the dog part of him wanting to revel in her scent?
Maybe I'm stretching things here but maybe she was his owner when he's in dog form and he felt a loyalty and bond to her? Although if that was the case I don't know why he'd devote no attention to her in the bar instead focusing only on Suki
But he's clearly the most interesting character and I'm fairly sure isn't human.............

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Bilbo, I'm disappointed, I was fully anticipating you talking about Jason's erection problem, and how you've always had a fantasy about having that happen to you. ;) ;D

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
I'm almost positive that I saw Sam and the dog on his porch together. I think it was the morning after he slept with Tara.
I do think that he is a were-something, but I do not think he killed Dawn. Actually, I was thinking that he was trying to sniff out the killer.
I REALLY hate Sookie's brother.

Yes, he was with a dog, but I have to go back and see if it was the dog. :dontknow:
I don't know if Sam was trying to sniff out the killer in Dawn's sheets, he seemed to be getting off by it. Unless, that's the shows way of covering up what he was doing.
Why do you hate Jason, because he gets to have sex with all these girls? Or because he's a dick? Tell me you weren't laughing you ass off then with his dick became like an eggplant? ;D I was!

Hey Bilbo, as a sidenote, if you like vampire type stuff read Brian Lumley's Wamphyri series. Lumley was an English author and imo has written the premiere books on the blood suckers.
R.I.P. Lumley
I'm not really into horror novels. Werewolves are my fave horror characters although 90% of werewolf movies are awful.
Still American Werewolf in London is possibly the greatest horror of all time, and I loved Dog Soldiers. The Ginger Snaps films wern't bad either.
I'll grab the first episode of this sounds interesting, although generally I'm not keen on vampire movies. I couldn't stand Buffy and Angel, I had to turn off 30 Days of Night half way through as I felt like slitting my own throat and the dracula films never did anything for me at all either.
But if people think it's good it might well be so I'll grab the first episode and see what it's like.
I need a good series to keep me entertained until Lost comes back.
I actually loved 30 days of Night; though I thought the way they made the vampires appear was rather silly. The way they communicated and those shark eyes was well done, but the goofy tattoos on them and not very frightening countenance of them actually made the movie less than stellar.
I don't watch vampire movies and certainly never even attempted to watch Buffy:rolleyes: But the series by Lumley is awesome, imo anyways.
And if I want to see werewolves I'll watch Valuev's family reunion on youtube.
Wait a minute- when did Brian Lumley die? I read the entire first Necroscope series, including the two "Lost" Harry Keough books. I even tried the second series with the new necroscope but it just didn't catch for me. There was just something missing. Lumley was very imaginative, but I can't help but say that his dialog was horrible. When I was younger I just chalked it up to how British people spoke. But then in one of the "Lost" books he had a black American soldier speak. My guess is that he thought black Americans must be from the moon or something. It was absolutely atrocious.
And Bilbo, with Lumley's vampires, sometimes they are werewolves too. It's difficult to explain.

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
I've not heard of this yet. Is it good and what series is it up too

Yeah he was with the dog in the third episode, he throws him a ball and it bounds off after it.
But even this scene is interesting as when the dog appears to Sam who is sitting on his porch, Sam greets the dog by saying 'Hello brother', which is a rather unusual greeting imo. There is something going on, maybe he's not that particular dog, but he is a werewolf or shapeshifter I think.........
And whilst we're on this subject Suki's gran DEFINITELY has something hidden in her past. I reckon she fucked a vampire in her youth. I know she said her husband had the telepathic gift, what was he? There is something going on in that family.
Also why have both the women who slept with Jason died straight after? If its not him, is someone trying to set him up?

I hate/dislike Jason because he is someone I would hate/dislike in the real world. Always in the middle of drama and smart as a box of rocks.
And like Bilbo said, there is something awry with his being with two different woman before they were killed by some unknown. There could be a Jekyll & Hyde thing going on.
By the way, Bilbo. Sookie Stackhouse IS NOT Asian. Stop spelling her name Suki. ;D

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
By the way, there are only 10 Episodes so after next week we are half way through the season. :(

This is a bit gutting, I was hoping for the usual 20 episodes or something
I hope it gets a few series though it is shaping up to be a great series.
By the way has anyone here ever watched Carnivale? I know that got a load of praise a few years back and was another strange supernatural type show although I've never seen it myself. Is it worth hunting down?
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
About the rolling on the bed scence...
Dogs like smells. My dog Mister will roll in a pile of my dirty clothes. So if Sam was good friends with Dawn he may have went there to remember her.

I was always insterested in that show but it was near the end of season one when I caught on. I have tried to rent them from the library but like most of there stuff it has been scratced to hell and will not play.

Ploppie Flower, I hope you are right.
I went by
True Blood (a Titles & Air Dates Guide)
I always use them. If you went to an official site I would say you are right and I am wrong.

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
I've decided I'm going to watch all these ondemand tonight over a bowl, or two or three. Of course if I don't like it I'm going to turn it off and watch American Gangster or maybe Mosley Mayorga. The first episode better be captivating this is my first smoke in a loooong time.
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
OK, so I forgot to tell someone I would cover for them tonight, so I ended up working a fucking double. Thus I wasn't able to answer my weed guys' calls meaning I didn't do anything but fucking bus tables tonight. I did get some bomb middle eastern chicks number though, that would be a new one. So no True Blood tonight.
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
I've got the 4 episodes now, looking forward to watching them this weekend

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I just watched Episode 5, and damn it, I can't say anything yet, because I don't want to ruin it for Bilbo, since he has to download it.
But I can't believe the ending!!!!!!! :o
I will at least say, I'm glad that we find out how Bill became a vampire, that's not giving anything away.
And geez, that Jason, what a twat!!
Okay, Sam is probably a werewolf or something.
I still can't believe the ending though.
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Not sure if any of you were aware of this but it seems TruBlood is based on a series of books called Southern Vampire Mysteries
A friend pointed that out to me this weekend. I doubt that I will read them until the series has ended. Whenever that is...
Amazon.com: southern vampire: Books

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Definitely a cool ending. Suprised me because I always thought there was something odd about Sookies gran, she seems to be too much a friend of vampires imo.
I actually thought the girl who bit Bill to make him a vampire looked a lot like how she would have looked if younger and I still think there is something strange going on there.
I was expecting her to play a pivotal role later on, with some kind of revelations regarding Sookie's own creation, half vampire or something? Her death so early suprised me.
As to the third death, I wonder who is doing them? I don't think it's Bill, too obvious and like he said, vampires can't resist a fresh corpse so I guess Sam is the prime suspect, still not sure if he's good or evil.
Thus far I believe all the murders have been carried out by an as yet unintroduced character, probably non human AND non vampire.......
It's looking more and more like Sam's a werewolf though and was interesting to see the dog at the beginning once again spying on Sookie. Sam?
It was also interesting that vampire Bill could hear the conversations going on in the church. Not sure if he was displaying special hearing or if he was reading their thoughts like Sookie.
Meanwhile Sookie's brother Jason continues to live the dream
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Ok another thought that just occured to me and might be relevant.
The first two victims were both bitten by vampires, that has been stressed. Also both female.
So will we discover that Sookies gran was bitten by a vampire?
I'm certain that we will and that obviously this could be a big reveal.
I mean presumably she wouldn't have shagged a vampire in the couple years that they have officially existed as she's in her 70's.
So if she has been bitten then it would probably have been years ago when she was young, so she must have come across a secret vampire.....
Ok this is wild speculating, but could it be Bill? Could she have had an affair with Bill 50 years or so ago? Can vampires impregnate women?
I just feel that something about Sookies mind reading condition is supernatural and is due to her gran.
There's definitely something going on with her, I'm suprised she has died this early but I do think there is something integral to Sookie's back story that lies with her mysterious gran.
One thing I'm certain about, is that Sookies gran was not just bitten by a vampire, which will come out in the next episode virtually guaranteed, but that she had a love affair with one. This would explain why she wanted Sookie to experience it so much.
I'm sure Bill knows something about this too. Maybe Bill and Sookies gran were once in love, or maybe Bill knows the vampire Sookies gran was in love with?
Also what happened to Bill's vampire girlfriend?
Also does anyone remember the very first episode when Bill was being drained by that couple and Sookie saved him with the chain?
Who was the girl who was watching and then helped tie the chain around the guys neck with some kind of telekines before running off?
Could that have been Bills's original vampire lover?
I'm going to watch it again now.
Damn I'm rambling on :p
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
God damn more ramblings now!!!
Sookies gran claimed her husband had the gift of reading minds as well, especially being able to see when people might die.
This has just got me thinking as to where are Sookie's parents?
Were they killed? and maybe other people around them?
Could these serial killings that are happening now also have happened years earlier and that is why Sookie's parents arn't alive?
Are they all being killed by a shape shifter? i.e Sam?
I can't articulate yet as its just a hunch, but I reckon there is some kind of cycle going on here and that it may even hint at a long standing war between vampires and werewolves or shape shifters?
Vampires have relations with a woman, and the shape shifter/werewolf kills the woman......but why?
DEFINITELY Sam is involved somehow. There's something weird going on here, and it's do with a vampire/werewolf eternal rivalry.
That's my new hypothesis.
Ok I'm going to shut up now, need to put some porn on to turn my mind off lol

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
I think that Bill is going to save the grandmother the same way he did Sookie.
I just have a hard time accepting Sam as a villian.
That blonde haired Vamp that was in the bar may be doing it? All I know for sure is that I'm hooked.
BTW, the second episode of the third season of Dexter was last night. That is really good as well.

I realize that it doesn't not fit into the preview of the next episode. ;D

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Maybe there is more than one were-wolf/dog in town and the one we are seeing is not Sam? Or maybe Sam can see through the dog eyes?
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
It's a great show for sure, Bill bringing the gran back, that would be cool. :thinking2:
Actually I just downloaded the entire first seasons of Dexter and Californication last night.
I watched the first episode of Dexter today. Looks pretty good so far. Seems like he's a serial killer of evil people, interesting premise and I guess makes him more likeable than just a serial killer.
I'm going to watch another episode in a minute.
Not seen any of Californication yet but have heards its really funny.
It's a bit sad really every tv show I ever watch and download is American.
In fact all of the tv I watch is American, True Blood, Married With Children, Lost, HBO Boxing, Showtime and Shobox, ESPN Fri night fights etc.
Can't remember the last time I watched a British show about anything, we just make crap :-\

Bilbo you should give Pushing Daisies a try. Really good show especially if you are a fan of that Royal Tenenbaums style cinematography.

I enjoy alot of BBC stuff.
All Creatures Great And Small is classic. I like most of their movies as well. No one makes a Jane Austen movie like BBC.
I can't get into Pushing Daisies. It has a very womanly vibe that turns me off. I do not like Heroes either. The show makes no damn sense to me. To much flux in the story line.

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Bilbo, check out Reaper too. It's about a guy whose parents sold his soul to the Devil and now he has to work for him, recuperating souls that escaped from Hell with the help of 2 incompetent friends.
