Hey Bilbo, as a sidenote, if you like vampire type stuff read Brian Lumley's Wamphyri series. Lumley was an English author and imo has written the premiere books on the blood suckers.

    R.I.P. Lumley
I'm not really into horror novels. Werewolves are my fave horror characters although 90% of werewolf movies are awful.

Still American Werewolf in London is possibly the greatest horror of all time, and I loved Dog Soldiers. The Ginger Snaps films wern't bad either.

I'll grab the first episode of this sounds interesting, although generally I'm not keen on vampire movies. I couldn't stand Buffy and Angel, I had to turn off 30 Days of Night half way through as I felt like slitting my own throat and the dracula films never did anything for me at all either.

But if people think it's good it might well be so I'll grab the first episode and see what it's like.

I need a good series to keep me entertained until Lost comes back.

I actually loved 30 days of Night; though I thought the way they made the vampires appear was rather silly. The way they communicated and those shark eyes was well done, but the goofy tattoos on them and not very frightening countenance of them actually made the movie less than stellar.

I don't watch vampire movies and certainly never even attempted to watch Buffy But the series by Lumley is awesome, imo anyways.

And if I want to see werewolves I'll watch Valuev's family reunion on youtube.

Yeah, I thought 30 Days was an ass kicker right up until the part where he saved the girl instead of getting the heck out of there.

I got it! I'll turn myself into a vampire and then watch the sunrise with my ex! Bullshit.

I thought it was both a good and stupid ending; good because I wasn't expecting it so that's cool; but stupid because he shoud have hid somewhere instead of frying in the sun.

I would have been owning some sh#t had that been me; and made my girl an immortal hottie I'd love to be a vampire; as much as Bilbo would love to be a man.

Okay, for anyone that hasn't seen it, and wants to check it out, if you have HBO2, on Sunday starting at 4:00 pm ET (check your schedule for your time zone) they are showing the first 3 episodes in a row, and then the new 4th episode will premiere at 9:00 pm ET on regular HBO.

If you don't get HBO2, you can at least see episode 3 on regular HBO late tonight at 2:25 am ET.

Just thought I would give you guys the heads up.

Sounds like a cross between Blade and Angel.

I was on tv-mafia.com downloading all my favorites and actually saw that and had a quick read about it on a review site.. a lot of my favorite shows i've found on the net and not on Aussie tv, so that's cool someone started a thread about this one which i've been considering downloading... Will definetly go ahead now.. I saw some bad reviews, but i've learnt that the task of of "professional reviewing" usually requires you to jam a stick up your ass first before assessing anything.. I on the other hand love mind numbing entertainment & stimulation regardless of what stiffies think..

I've grabbed the first 3 episodes not watched it yet though.

Like you I NEVER watch English tv. The only way I learn of any programs is via the internet.

I watch, Lost, My Name is Earl, Monster Quest, Man vs Wild and boxing and a few films all of which I download.

I watch nothing else and my tv in the lounge only gets turned on when I'm rowing, so for about 2 hours a week

    Tonights episode was pretty good.

I was laughing so hard with Jason and his erection problem!

    I looks like an eggplant!

Legion, we found an alternative to you having to take Cialis.

Okay, was Sam getting off in Dawn's sheets because of the scent of her, or the scent of death?

Watched the first episode tonight, must admit I liked it, rather stupid but it is good fun.

I loved the start with the redneck in the shop that the chav says 'Fuck you!' to.

When he replied, 'Oh yeah, I'll fuck ya, and then I'll eat ya' whilst bearing his fangs I felt then it was going to be a good show.

I'm hoping Suki gets naked soon, I want to see her get really freaky with a couple vampires at the same time, maybe two males and another female vampire would be good.

Wait a minute- when did Brian Lumley die? I read the entire first Necroscope series, including the two "Lost" Harry Keough books. I even tried the second series with the new necroscope but it just didn't catch for me. There was just something missing. Lumley was very imaginative, but I can't help but say that his dialog was horrible. When I was younger I just chalked it up to how British people spoke. But then in one of the "Lost" books he had a black American soldier speak. My guess is that he thought black Americans must be from the moon or something. It was absolutely atrocious.

And Bilbo, with Lumley's vampires, sometimes they are werewolves too. It's difficult to explain.
    Oops

I am a werewolf man myself. Spoon from Dog Soldiers is on of my favorite movie characters. I thought there was supposed to be a sequel coming out?! I heard that about 4 years ago.

I do like vampire movies though and thought Hammer's Horror Of Dracula was much better than Universal's Dracula.

ha I loved Spoon myself, my fave bit with him was when they looking to arm up and he pulled out that fucking great sword with a smile on his lips.

A complete psycho who when he was finally about to get eaten said to the werewolf ' I hope I give you the shits you fucking wimp!'

And I loved it when he ran out of ammo and was just throwing pots and pans and the werewolf, hilarious stuff.

Awesome film I must have seen it 5 times.
