Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
Hey CMM thanks a million for the link, what an amazing atmosphere. All the British fans over there (wish I was joining them) have totally outdone themselves once again in supporting our Rick. Top drawer!

I would honestly give anything to be there at this moment in time, it just looks amazing and I'd love to be in the bars and casino's all night meeting Hatton/Pac fans and having a shit load of drinks with them all.
One day......

Me too. Shame that I'm going 3 months later in August instead of May :-\
Anyways Ricky looked good, and he's gonna do the business Sat night.
The British fans proved once again they're the best, the support shown for Hatton is just truly remarkable.

Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
I thought Hatton looked much much calmer and comfortable than we he faced PBF... no Coldsaws etc either... which is probably a good sign!
Joking aside I thought that Hatton looked in really good shape, much healthier in the face (though to be fair he always looks a bit guat when weighing in)
Pacman also looked supremely conditioned and pretty strong.
Still a real pick em for me. I'm leaning towards Pacman... assuming he can match/handle Ricky's strength down the stretch.
Would obviously love to see Hatton pull out the win though and he's more than capable of doing it.
-
Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
Kinda weird Jacobs fought last weekend and had to win in less than 4 rounds to be eligible to fight this weekend.
-
Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
Hatton looks exactly as he should, I think there can be no doubting the hard work he has put into training. Manny at 2 pounds under, Hatton will be a fair bit heavier come fight time and if Hatton can make it a little bit ugly, then Pac will have his hands full.
-
Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
Team PAC is on the dot... That's their plan, to weigh-in at 138... I'm guessing PAC will be 148 lbs on fight night while Hatton is anywhere from 150 to 152 lbs...
I noticed Hatton was gasping for air when he was interviewed by Mario Lopez the first time and his face looked like a zombie... Well they said Hatton looked like a zombie as always during weigh-in...;)
.

I heard him last week in an interview state he will be as big as 154 when entering the ring. We'll just have to wait and see tommorow ;)

Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
Hatton will be between 150 and 152 pounds IMO. Manny won't gain so much and I can see him being between 145 and 148 pounds maximum.
Hatton looked like he always does, so nothing to worry about there.
-
Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
Is Gaudet any good? I haven't seen him fight before.
-
Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
Both guys in top shape, good deal.
Gotta back PAC here, the straight left will be Hatton's foil all night.
I honestly don't think Hatton will be able to get inside enough to
be do any damage.
-
Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
The weigh-in event is one of the biggest in recent years... I think the fight will be HUGE too...

It’s hard to say how good he is because he’s completely untested but I suspect he’s pretty chinny (not a good sign for anybody who fight Soto), although he has good skills, footwork, speed and average power. Not the same class IMO, I hope I’m wrong.

Pac looks like he's made for speed. Pac will outland Hatton 3-1 in this fight. Pac Ko Hatton in rd5 or less.

Marquez beats Pac. Pac stops Diaz in 9. DLH quits after 8. And Hatton gets stopped in 5?? You are one seriously deluded individual.
More like Pac gets stopped in 5 if anything, though I suspect it will take longer. ;)

Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
They both trained hard for this fight. Pacquiao won't weight more than 146 most likely around 144 after tipping the scale at 138. He tipped the sale for De la Hoya at 145 and 148.5 fight night. I'm not so sure about Hatton, He says 6 lbs is optimum but touts he'll come in heavy. I don't think he'll load up more the 150. If he's able to stay calm he'll get close to 150. If he is more nervous, I think he'll come in less than 148. I think if he tries to make an advantage out of the weight by loading up more than 150, he'll be to slow and it's too big of a tell that he's going for an early knock out.
Just my opinion. ;D
My prediction, Pacquiao gets control of the fight by the end of the 5th, and he wins the fight by the 8th round. The fight starts out a little timid, but we see serious blows by the end of the first round. Hatton abandon's his jab by the 4th round with Mayweather shouting use your jab..... this is predicated by Hatton coming in at no more than 148, he comes in more than that it's anyone's fight to lose in the first 5 rounds of slug fest.

my thoughts exactly. i saw ricky and i thought they left him out in the nevada dessert to dry for about 8 hours. and he managed to get to 140. he really looked dehaydrated. that was usually the case for pac but i think pac grew into the 140's. i hope ricky gets back to fighting shape tomorrow to give us fans a good fight. good luck to both!
compare both pics and tell me if hatton is not gaunt

I never really realized how gigantic Pacquaio's head is, it almost looks superimposed on that picture compared to the rest of his body. Hatton looks as creepy as ever, a gaunty pasty alien.

That's why Pac has never been down via the chin.

The bigger the head, the easier the target.
Hatton truly is a freak, he will gain a mad amount of weight overnight. He will be much heavier than Manny.
That chin WILL be checked.

He was under the weight which means he won't have had to dehydrate as much as Hatton has to make 140.
On fight night I'd assume Hatton will look a bit bigger. :)

Re: Hatton vs. Pacquiao (LIVE - Weigh In)
I dunno if everyone's having the same saddo probs as I am cos' of all the traffic I guess or if no one has bothered posting yet but that seems odd! ... I'm probably not seeing the messages that have been done yet, but anyway, I digress...
..that was one of the most irritating fights I have seen!
I'm so gutted and yet the only thing that makes me feel any better is laughing at the ridiculous "gameplan" that Hatton had apparently been working on, and his new technical strengths, didn't see any of that.
Well done to Pacquiao though, looked great, and Hatton just isn't at world superstar level let's face it...Pacquiao is.
I look forward to seeing Manny beat the hell out of Mayweather Jnr though :D

@pac u,
could you please tone down your words. WE Pac fans are having our moments now and we don't want you to be representing us.
people get angry at us pac fans when newcomers don't behave properly.

oh I'm sorry Mr. Nice Guy...just got carried away...I just don't want how hatton fanbois predicted the outcome of the fight...They should have not underestimated our man Pacman. I'm not trying to be the bad guy here but I'm sure if the fight turned out the other way, pro hattons will be dissing us more like they have dissed us before the fight. ;)

They're okay except for some few posters here who are consistently antagonistic towards all pac fans.
Just behave and you'll learn to like the people here. A little debate is good but don't do personal attacks.
Thank you for refraining yourself. Hope we don't see some haughty posts from you in other threads. Let's stay humble in victory.

Thanks for replying there bruce. Unfortunately I cannot be online 24 hours a day because I have to sleep and work and write.
As if I would be hiding from anybody, pac-u.
I was online for most of yesterday afternoon and I've let my feelings been known. I have given Manny his credit and said well done to all the Pac fans. Before a fight, us fans like to build it up and get excited about it and that's what I did. I have done it before and I will do it again. It's just the way I am. I got it wrong and yes people have a right to laugh at me for getting it wrong in such a devastating manner.
There is no need to call me stupid and saying I'm hiding behind my Mum though because that is not the case. I am always here win or lose. In defeat I take my licks.

Pac u,
Its good you acknowledged your mistake. Miles did give props to Manny right after the fight.
I guess everyone realizes that Hatton is a very good fighter. Pacquiao was just a better fighter that night. I hope Ricky recovers the same way Manny recovered after the Morales defeat.
The question is if Manny is that good. Let me paraphrase what Hopkins said days before the fight. "Manny is in the zone and has that aura of being unbeatable". Roach said that this was the best training for a fight that Manny has ever had. If the fight with Mayweather happens very soon, I sincerely beleive that Manny will pull it of..but only at 140 (maybe 144). I have been a reserved pacfan for many years now. Admittedly, he does not look polished. But that is the thing...you can only say that from an observers point of view. Once you are in the ring with him, it is a different thing. Marquez is probably one of the most polished boxers out there, but even he had a difficult time with Manny. Manny is just different...one of a kind...Roach knows this and I believe him.
