Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
I think Khan would win. I'm not so much into the stoppage thing but Hatton is an unintelligent fighter. He fights like a pitbull and is easy to figure out. Hatton hasn't seen a lot of speed as in the likes of Pac, PBF, Khan, and Judah. I think all of them matchup well against Hatton. Not that Khan is a better fighter but this would be a good matchup for Hatton. Hatton may beat better guys than what Khan can at this point but Hatton matches up wrong against Khan. Plus, there is no telling where his confidence is right now. Let alone his chin. The only thing for certain with Hatton is that he'll fight the same as in all fights.

Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
it really hurts me to say this but if khan fights the right fight i think he could embarass hatton with his speed. i love hatton hes been my favourite fighter for a long time but he needs to retire. i dont think i could face him losing to khan

If you think Warren will put Khan in with Hatton you must be bonkers, not for another 2 -3 years untill Ricky is completly washed up. This is just all talk to get more publicty for Khan. I think Khan has the potential to beat Ricky handidly but just hasnt got the experience or chin at this stage of his career to hold back Hatton. If Khan was 25-26yrs old Vs Ricky now i would pick him to win.

Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
The first time Khan lets his hands go will spell the end for Hatton. Khan is very accurate and Hatton has zero defence/head movement.
Everybody keeps going on about Hatton's body attack but everytime he tries to land it he is open to counters to the head plus apart from Castillo i can't remember Hatton landing to the body all that often.
Seriously think Khan would take Hatton out inside 6 rounds.

Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
Tough to call but if Hatton fought like he did against Pac he's a sitting duck and Khan will land at will.
Amir was a big lightweight too and claims he's way stronger and more natural at Light Welter.
We'll know more in a few weeks

shit he wasn't able to tee off on a one eyed Barrera. All Hatton has to do is keep his hands up and cut off the ring.

You could look at it another way though, how much better than Hatton is/was Barrera? I'd say quite a bit, one in his prime was a borderline elite fighter admittedly better than some gave him credit for, whilst the other is a straight up ATG.
& as for the bit in bold, well we know how Ricky struggled badly with that simple task over 6 minutes in the MGM Grand

Hatton cannot react to being hit repeatedly. He sort of just freezes like a deer stuck in the headlights. I'm 100% sure that will happen against Khan.
Hatton has shown that he cannot execute a gameplan when he's had to deal with superior speed. Collazo, Mayweather and Pac spring to mind. All 3 of them fighters teed of on him and while Khan clearly isn't anywhere near their level he is arguably just as fast if not faster and he can put together some very effective combinations.

80-90% of the British boxing public don't have a clue about the relative merits of foreign boxers. They know Khan won an Olympic medal and beat a Mexican legend, they don't know or care he got legendary for fights a decade ago almost a stone lighter than he is now. The bottom line is Khan shifts tickets, it doesn't really matter who he's beaten, it's how many bums on seats can he do.
I wonder if Warren thinks Hatton is that shot he will put Khan in with him.Otherwise he wont want to risk another defeat of his leading fighter.
I think if Khan beats Kotelnik it'll happen. I'd pick Khan to outbox both of them too but I don't think he'll manage to get through twenty four rounds against two decent fighters without getting tagged at least once. And we all know what happens when he gets hit on the chin. :)

Correct anyone who comes out as a Khan fan is seriously high on the 'tard scale.

Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
I'm inclined to agree with VD here (never thought I'd say that) in which if Lazcano can hurt hatton... Khan will do alot more. Lazcano isn't the fastest person in the world and he was able to land at will at times. To me it comes down to this, if Hatton gets some common sense back and decides to keep his hands up, fights like he did against Castillo, Mayweather, Malignaggi etc.. he'll come out with a late TKO or at worse a wide UD decision.
If he comes out like he did against Pacquiao.. Khan will dominate him. Khan is just as fast (if not faster?) than pac man and throws more combos.. he doesn't hit as hard as pac but he'd be able to force a TKO eventually. Khan has alot going for him if this fight goes ahead... Manny Pacquiao in his same camp to give him advice, the trainer who has already beat Hatton, and not to mention Amir is much younger and fresher.
But i'm not one to make a decision on a fight before it happens.. (or even before it gets made!) as to me it all depends on who shows up on the day.

You must be on the everest of 'tard scales just to even come up with that lool...

Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Khan would win. Khan does have more pop with his punches than Lazcano, and he's technically better than Hatton.

I think Khan definitely has a good chance of winning. If he had even an average chin I would be a lot more certain though.

I was going to ask what 'lool' is but I've been put down so harshly I'm just about to go cry to mommy:eek:

Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
Hatton still wins even if he is on the downside. In the Barrera fight Khan got hurt a few times and MAB was 35 with one eye.
You have to love Khan for flaunting off his wealth, no wonder the UK fight fans love him so much.

Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
Going on Ricky s mindset in his last few outings i'd have to side with Kahn too.
It would want to pay real well for Kahn to even consider it at this stage ,because he will just get the old "oh well Hatton was shot anyway." At Amirs expense it may spring board Ricky above him and into a few more paydays for his fans cash to stick around a bit longer; but thats about it. Too risky for Kahn if the cash isnt enormous. Marquez and Kahn in a few fights time maybe an interesting style match and could even out through the different age and experience as we expected with Mab.
One day we may even see Naz come out of retirement and fight Hatton, stranger things happen in this game. Fuk we just had Azumha Nelson -Jeff Fenneck #3 out here;someone paid to watch it.
-
Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
Kahn wins and knocks Ricky out, Kahn is still improving and will carry on improving the sparring he is getting now is world class sparring not sparring punch bags like Gomez and Lawton, Ricky cant take a punch, Kahn i think could end it early.
-
Re: Hatton v Khan - who wins?
This would be an interesting match-up, based on momentum in careers I'd side with Khan at this point. If Ricky was able to muscle his way inside, he could end it early as well. I stick with Khan's quick hands to keep The Hitman off him.
