Re: Should Nate Campbell remain in the pool at 140?
I vote he should remain in the pool. That being said, I'm almost positive he's done as a legitimate contender.
-
Should Victor Cayo enter the pool at 140?
After defeating Julio Diaz (currently #6 at 135) in a Jr. Welterweight fight, should undefeated Victor Cayo enter the pool at 140?
I vote yes

I'm not so sure, but its going to be hard for him to get another big fight I think... maybe him & Guzman can finally get it on at Jr. Welter

I'm a big fan of Campbell, but he ruined any future earnings tonight. It was obvious from Shaw's participation in the post-fight interviews that Bradley won't give him the rematch, and who else is going to give him a shot? A fight between him and Guzman would drum up almost no interest. It would be an undercard fight at best.

I for one would be interested in Campbell/ Guzman, it would have to be an undercard but that's a good fight for an undercard!
Maybe someone like Lamont Peterson, Maidana or a comebacking Ortiz. Nate still has a bit of name value & 140 is stacked. Fights with Urango or Torres would be entertaining & work towards his advancement.
But your right he's got a lot of rebuilding to do & time isn't on his side!

i haven't seen the fight, what happen? ;D

I'd be rather interested to see it as well, but you and I are hardly the type of "casual" fans that fights are made to appeal to. Anyways, I hope Campbell comes back strong, but even before the stoppage he looked old and slow, 140 does not seem to suit him well, and I fear it's pretty much the end of the line (or back to ESPN) for him.

Campbell was seemed to be cut by a clash of heads, Bradley was starting to come on in the third though. Before the start of the 4th Campbell said he couldn't see & the ref awarded the fight to Bradley. Campbell argued that it should have been a no contest...

Should Delvin Rodriguez remain in the pool at 147?
After fighting to a split decision loss to 7th ranked Isaac Hlatswayo, should Rodriguez remain in the pool at Welter?
I think he should
-
Re: How far does Junior Witter drop?
Damn.. I voted wrong. I meant to vote him into the pool... my bad. :(
-
Re: Should Nate Campbell remain in the pool at 140?
Sure he does.. there wasn't a awful lot to suggest he would of lost that fight should it continue for the full duration, so there's not alot we can go off if we want to drop him, although this is just my opinion.

ok saw it, i vote no nate shouldn't remain in the pool. I dont think he belongs at 140.
-
Re: Should Nate Campbell remain in the pool at 140?
This may well get overturned considering the circumstance, so I think that he should stay in
-
Re: How far does Junior Witter drop?
He's done & regardless of what he says in the dressing room, I think this was his last fight
-
Re: How far does Junior Witter drop?
Into the pool i think at 35 year old he carnt compete with the younger fresher fighters no more.
-
Re: Should Nate Campbell remain in the pool at 140?
I say remove him for now. If he fights against Bradley again, he will have to win to take the spot. If he fights anyone unranked, but worthwhile he can fight to get back in the pool. But as of now he is officially 0-1 at 140. I think he moved up to Light welter too late.
-
Re: Should Nate Campbell remain in the pool at 140?
I say yes the fight was called incorrectly it should be a NC...an NC against a title holder should not deter the ranking
-
Re: How far does Junior Witter drop?
Put him in the pool...he quit for no valid reason for christ sake other then he was getting embaressed....
-
Re: Should Delvin Rodriguez remain in the pool at 147?
This poll is now closed. The results are as follows:
Delvin Rodriguez remains in the poll on a vote of 4 points to 1 point to be removed & 1 point that he should enter in the vacant #10 position
-
Should Ricardo Torres remain rated
Ricardo Torres (#10 at 140) hasn’t fought at that weight since July 5th ’08. That was the 1st round KO loss to Kendall Holt. Should he remain rated or be removed to the pool?
I think he should move down to the pool
-
Re: Should Ricardo Torres remain rated
Sorry, the no option should read: Remove him to the Jr. Welter pool
-
Should Julio Diaz be removed to the pool at 135?
With our new rule established, the option to vote a fighter who loses 2 fights in a row to the pool...
I put forward the motion that Julio Diaz (currently #6 at 135) be removed to the pool after suffering a KO defeat to Rolando Reyes & the a decision lose to Victor Cayo at 140
So should he remain ranked or be removed to the pool?
-
Should Jorge Barrios move to the 135 pool?
Jorge Barrios (in the pool at 130). His last fight at 130 was the stoppage to Rocky Juares on Sep 6th ’08 & his most recent fight was at 135. Should he remain in the 130 pool, or be added to the lightweight pool?
-
Re: Should Ricardo Torres remain rated
I voted to the pool, if his next fight is higher than 140, I think we should remove him though.
-
Re: Should Ricardo Torres remain rated
remove him to the pool there are decent fighters coming through and if Torres is'nt fighting he carnt defend his ringing spot.
-
Re: Should Ricardo Torres remain rated
With the given time line of a year with no match at weight as well as hitting the 2 year mark on Sept 1st with no wins,I say to the pool...leave vacant...with an eye on Bailey vs.Urango.Loving that fight :shinner:

How far should Paulie Malignaggi drop?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...lterweight.jpg
How far should Paulie Malignaggi (currently # 5) fall after losing a close decision to Juan Diaz (#2 at lightweight, now entering 140 at #5)? 1-3 spots?
I vote he only drops one place; as it was a very close fight that could have gone either way.
-
Re: How far should Paulie Malignaggi drop?
I had Diaz definately winning 3 rounds and Malignaggi definately winning 4 rounds with the other 5 being able to go either way he should only drop one spot.
-
Re: How far should Paulie Malignaggi drop?
I've got to say I'm not keen on Diaz jumping Alexander & Khan who've had far more convincing victories recently, although I know those are our rules. I felt Malignaggi edged it, but the state of the victory takes away from the achievment for me.

Considering the fact that the fight was fought at 138 and not 140, I say we don't even rank Diaz yet

The fight fell within the Jr. Welter division as it was officially above the 135 limit, Malignaggi's rank was on the line! I thought he pulled it out but I think killer had Diaz winning. We have to respect the official decision!!! But we don't have to agree with it!!!

No I had Malignaggi winning 115-113, documented on the official thread.

Re: How far should Paulie Malignaggi drop?
I think he should drop below Amir Khan and Devon Alexandra......its a tough call but I see Khan and Alexandra moving up cause without question both won....yes I would promote Khan and Alexandra a head of Malignaggi
Job Biscuit (Boxing is tough....just like life)!!!
eh eh!!
