Also someone said that Mayweather's performances against ODLH and Hatton weren't as impressive as Pacs in a reply to my earlier post. Well no I admit that but Mayweather wasn't fighting a weight drained De La Hoya who was well and truely over the hill and had just looked shite against Steve fucking Forbes, no he had just looked great against Mayorga and Mayweather went upto 154lbs and beat De La Hoya in his comfort zone. Now I don't expect Pac to do that and I give him credit for what he did to Oscar but it is ignorant to overlook all the facts.
As for Hatton, Floyd fought him when he was unbeaten and had not been knocked out. He set the trend there by KOing him and Hatton looked crap against Lazcano but against feather fisted Malignaggi he looked good but he always would. Also Hatton totally underestimated Pac and just run out with his chin out and got it handed to him. Again I don't want to take anything away from Pac but lets take all the facts into consideration before speaking please!
A few months ago I tore into Pacman's accomplishments for fun just to rile people up. We can do this with Mayweather.
-Delahoya: 34 years old past his prime and was inactive
-Hatton: Was fighting above his best weight class and Joe Cortez
-Baldomir: Wasnt worthy of the 147 crown
-Gatti: a 33 year old past his prime club fighter
-Marquez: a 36 year old past his prime fighter fighting 3 weight classes above his best fighting weight.
You see how easy it is to tear down a fighter's accomplishments? And I can say those are facts also.
In no way is that a fact. Baldomir was the linear champion at 147, ergo he was worthy of the crown since he earned it by beathing the former champion. Was he a mediocre titlist? Absolutely, but he was also "worthy" of the position because he earned it the same way everyone else has.
Yes he was the lineal champ, but as you stated he was a mediocre titlist. And some people would interpret that as not worthy.
Anyway my point being was that anyone can tear down a fighters' accomplishment. That was the point, we'll both disagree on Baldomir.

Floyd's last weigh-in weight was at 146 lbs. (supposed to be 144 but he paid money for 2 lbs. more). Pacquiao's last weigh-in weight was at 144 lbs. They could start negotiations at 145 lbs. and if Floyd wants it at higher weight then he has to pay penalties.
I think purse split is the hardest part in the negotiations. I also favor a 50/50 split but I think one camp will demand a higher share. I have no problem with this fight having a 51/49 purse split.

Dela Hoya said that Pacquiao has the quickest set of hands among the boxers he has fought. Hatton said that Pacquiao is the hardest puncher he has fought so far.
Pacquiao has faster hands than SRR but I don't think he'd beat him either! I'm not even that sure he is faster than Floyd, but it's close and i'll give him that.
As for Hatton's hardest punching opponent?? I doubt it, Tszyu hit very very hard but Hatton had a lot better chin in those days. IMO Hatton lost a lot when Mayweather KO'd him.
This is Hatton's exact words. "Pacquiao hardest puncher I faced"

I Dont See Manny beating Mayweather unless they get a small ring or something because Mayweather will just tag and run himself to a victory. Anyone agree???
Nope, for one thing Mayweather does not hit as hard as Cotto. Let's not forget Cotto is very, very good and is a strong natural welterweight, Pacquaio will give Floyd fits and it will go 12 rounds. Floyd can all he wants, Pacman will be there all night long.

Hatton may have said that, I said Hatton didn't have the same punch resistance as he did when he fought Tszyu, so the punches against Pac hurt him more.
