I am F**KING ashamed of some people here and their Valero comments!!!!

Well I have been thinking since the news this morning what a great piece of journalism could be made out this. Seriously it doesn't show disconnect to want the story to be explained a bit more. Like it or not, in Venezuela this will be a story of a tragic hero who couldn't get past his own personal demons. A lot can be learned of stories like this, there's no reason why a movie, film, magazine ect. couldn't delve deeper into this without remaining sensitive to what happened.

He couldnt watch what he was thinking any longer and his own story took him over.
Through his lack of compassion towards others. His demon won, nurtured an internal story to blame all his pains onto someone else. Then the story took him over and made it his story and history.

Theres a big difference in those two ways and none of us are taught them. Which is wrong ! So Im off to kill a few parents and teachers...

I'm also a journalist & like you I want to know more. But, my first reaction to the story was not 'I can't wait to see the movie'. I suspect yours wasn't either Amat, or Bilbo's or most others here. I'm sure weren't also disappointed that you now wouldn't get to read Valero's book about killing his wife because Valero had killed himself. There's a difference between wanting to know more & being crass.

I think thats the demons name that took him over.

Valero doesn't deserve much sympathy for killing his wife but what makes me wonder is all the head trauma he had... I am not saying that it is automatically the cause of his behaviors but living closely to somebody who has had a bad head trauma himself, I can assure that it can totally change the character of somebody in the nick of time. Cerebral lesions are a bitch, believe me. IF he did drink and that it did cause even more problems, it totally makes sense as well as cerebral lesions are strengthening the reactions and confusion that somebody would normally have. It would be interesting to know how he was before his brain lesions and after as well as his reaction to alcohol before and after the incident.

Regarding Valero its sad for his wife, she's a Mother with 2 kids. And as for Valero he can rot in hell. Murdering is the lowest of the low, he wont be getting any sympathy from me. Whether he was drugged up or not when it happened. Apparently he has always been violent and his wife was "Always under the threat of death" from him. Fukking coward.

Yeah this was a sad day in boxing and even worse for the family. I saw the posts that made jokes of the situation and ignored them because the people making the jokes obviously have no heart if they can make light of a tragic situation.

I don't know that you can ever really judge a man. I mean I highly doubt he killed her with no remorse, or for fun. Clearly he was suffering some kind of major problems, and it seems like it was a spontaneous out of control act.

My best friend's dad killed his wife, stabbed her 49 times with a pair of scissors when she told him she was leaving and taking the kids away.

This was over 30 years ago. A tragic story, but guess what, his dad is a lovely guy. He just snapped and went literally crazy. He spent a couple years in a mental ward, and was then released and carried on caring for his son and daughter, even building a house himself.

Amazingly his mother and father in law forgave him. It was a shockingly violent and horrendous act, but he didn't have control over it, the stress caused him to snap.

A similar thing happened to a guy a couple years ago in the uk who grabbed both his kids and jumped out of a window, trying to kill himself. They died but he survived, and he has to live the rest of his life with that terrible, emotion driven 30 second split decision.

Clearly murder is bad and the ultimate wrong, and we all instinctively know that, but that doesn't mean that under certain situations all of us are not capable, in a split moment of doing something that will have consequences for ever.

We don't know why Valero did what he did, what was going through his mind, whether he was even of conscious mind. Now we will never know.

But I'm sure Edwin Valero knew murder was wrong and felt it instinctively as much as you do, which is probably why he killed himself.

Mate sorry my care for the person who conducts the murder goes straight out the window as soon as he commits that act. His mental state, his problems, his hard life...goes out the window coz at the end of the day how can I feel sorry for the person who took someones life away? Valero may of had issues that made this happen and he couldnt deal with them by himself then maybe he should of done the responsible thing and seek help else where, it aint like he lacked the money to do it. Its too bad he didnt get what was coming to him jail but I guess at least the world now has one less phsyco, its too bad one innocent lady had to die. I feel very sorry for her family.

all i feel sorry about are his two kids. now what is gonna happen to them? they are the real tragedy because they have to live thru all this knowing that their mom got killed by their dad and he hung himself after that. i guess all we could do here is pray for the Valero's children.
